Weird story, but the manager of Pogacar said that INEOS asked if he was a free agent. The manager said, no he's under contract.

As if INEOS wouldn't know this... Looks more as if the manager is trying to arrange a better contract for Pogacar by talking to the press about interest from INEOS. But why would UAE open his contract for a better one if he has a contract until 2027... Just a weird story in general.
It sounds more like on reflection that it was a jab at Ineos being desperate for a GT hopeful.

Well yes, I was a much bigger Valverde-fan, but Pog animates every race he enters and makes it better. Valverde didn't necessarily do that and can be compared more to Roglic in that sense.
Wow, hot take. Finally admitted that Valverde was a mountain sprinter just like Roglic. I wasn't expecting that, cheers mate!

Didn't necessarily? Almost never did is more truthful surely.

It's honestly a little funny how circumstances have aligned to make Pogacar, the last bastion still standing against the all conquering might of Jumbo. A guy who might otherwise be despised for being so dominant is instead seen as the only one stopping the complete dominance of another team.

Not that it's actually as black and white as this, but the narratives are certainly working in Pogacars favor.

Yes, I was trying to portray him as the second coming of Alexandr Vinokourov, Alberto Contador and Tadej Pogacar combined all along...

Like what?

Happy Pogačar on a unicycle. The best part: everyone else looking terrified he'll fall and break something.

ETA: And because I just saw the Twitter link to that one in the Giro dell'Emilia thread, great minds thinking alike, here's another one !

That is how JV camp looked each time before sending Rogla to the Tour. Instead of just going with the straight line. And this is how UAE camp looks like. Each time before Emilia.
