He will race next year or in 2026.Before luck and good legs he needs to actually attend PR to win it
Tour-Vuelta double. He hasn't won the Vuelta. For sure Pogi understands the impossible nature of the GT treble and will for sure try it with proper preparation. I would expect it if he either wins the next two Worlds OR 2026 WC course doesn't suit him.
He won't announce. It will just be the Giro-Tour double attempt. But look out!
Luck merchant Pogi! Before luck and good legs he needs to actually attend PR to win it
19 monuments is out of reach. Even 11 GT seem very far too.And Pogi's pathway to the unassailable 19 monuments would be through Lombardia and LBL. I don't see a season where he isn't trying to win these.
He can do it if he keep improve or sustain the level from this season for a while19 monuments is out of reach. Even 11 GT seem very far too.
While is like 4 more years of pure dominance. It is almost impossible. Don't forget this season is once in a lifetime season and for that reason he is on his way to have the best season of all times. He can do it if he keep improve or sustain the level from this season for a while
He was right in everything he said and it played out exactly like he said.We all miss Mou.
If he won 1 Grand Tour and 2 monuments every year it would take 7 more years of incredible success to eclipse both of Merckx incredible landmarks. He needs to do 1.5 a year average for the next 10 years. Someone help me here with the math!
19 monuments, maybe. But 11 GTs, yeah I can envisagé that without too much difficulty. 3 more Tours, 2 giros and a Vuelta.19 monuments is out of reach. Even 11 GT seem very far too.
Picking up the Worlds this year and ticking that off the bucket list might well be a big help to the big game hunting as he may then switch focus to Tour-Vuelta double attempts with a monument heavy early season and seek to peak enough again for Lombardia at the end of the season. It’s the length required that makes it difficult to envisage. 11GTs much more probable than the 19 monuments. But this would still require a top pog for another4-6 years. Possible but not guaranteed and you’d imagine a couple of fallow seasons (or less stellar seasons by his standards) for misc reasons common in cycling are inevitable.
Remco is nowhere near Pogacar in classics like LBL or Lombardia.Picking up the Worlds this year and ticking that off the bucket list might well be a big help to the big game hunting as he may then switch focus to Tour-Vuelta double attempts with a monument heavy early season and seek to peak enough again for Lombardia at the end of the season.
The biggest what if of the current era is what will happen when peak versions of Remco and Pogi meet at LBL and the answer to that could go a long way to determining how close Pogacar gets to 15+ monuments.
I do tend to agree but it is a contest I would very much like to see.Remco is nowhere near Pogacar in classics like LBL or Lombardia.
4 weeks. Let's hope for no crashes and Slovenia to be at least useful for Pogacar and not let Belgium to put someone in the break. I just want a mano a mano.I do tend to agree but it is a contest I would very much like to see.
LBL? When did Pogacar show that he is much better than Evenepoel at LBL?Remco is nowhere near Pogacar in classics like LBL or Lombardia.
It's a shame we have missed the battle three years in a row.LBL? When did Pogacar show that he is much better than Evenepoel at LBL?
It is my feeling. They never raced against each other so we don't know how close they are but I really have a hard time seeing Remco on Roche aux Faucons trying to follow Pogacar. This WC will give us a proper fight even if Remco has a much better team than Pogacar.LBL? When did Pogacar show that he is much better than Evenepoel at LBL?
Timing wise, Pogacar did better this year than Remco last year, I think around 10s? But in case of Remco it was a much harder race, with a lot of rain, and cold.It is my feeling. He has plenty of time to get in top shape. 4 weeks until the road race. He was awful in Dauphiné and 3 weeks later he was in the shape of his life.Timing wise, Pogacar did better this year than Remco last year, I think around 10s? I'm not sure about WC, and the form of Evenepoel. It's a huge goal of course, but he has been ill.
