If it’s as hard as a Grand Tour Queen Stage then he could pull back 3 minutes on very good riders in the last hour of the race as he did on Isola 2000 reeling in Jorgensen.
Nah. Rwanda after Kigali is a punchy classic. I'm pretty sure he will try to put someone in the front and kill everyone in Kigali.

RAI says Pogacar will race Tour-Vuelta next year. Just put Angliru there to see my boy smash Heras's climbing record

Eheheh, yeah. Let's wait and see. I think Pogacar will race Tour-Vuelta specially after he has expressed his desire to race RVV.

Pogacar himself 3 weeks ago said that he doesn't like being away from his family and after next year he may be doing just 1 or even 0 GT's and yesterday said "2 GT's worked really good, so I'll probably do that for the next few years".

So i appears every statement is second to last.

In 3 weeks, we will know his schedule.

Not really. He said, next year he will do 2 GT-s (his last 3 interviews) and in the future (!) he will see, maybe even doing just one even zero GT-s.

But that fits MVDP perfectly and excludes Philipsen. Philipsen cant decide the outcome on his own, doesn't hava a chance to stay with Pog and can't win solo. MVDP can do all of this. The only way of Jasper winning is if somebody catches (MVDP) Pogacar for him. But then the likes of Pedersen/WVA/Matthews are very likely to be on the group as well and any of them beasts Pog in a sprint, so I don't see how you can claim that Philipsen is the one deciding the outcome.

Cipressa is a very easy climb where a peloton of 30 may be 5-10 seconds behind Pogacar. And as strong as his engine is, I see no chance of him holding a dedicated group of domestics. I don't think it's fair to compare MSR to any race Pogacar won this year.
The pbm is that u are defining pogs dominance compared to mvdp & co based on the 2024 msr but i am defining pogs level based on the 2024 world championships which is alien level

For the upcoming 2025 pog there are no key(direct) rivals but the 2nd & 3rd tier riders are the keys for those cicaban races benefiting tactically from their 1st tier teammates sitting on the Goats wheel

I took a quick scan to TdF's route and I must say Pogacar can win 6 stages again if Vingegaard isn't able to challenge him again.
He is clearly the hot favourite to win stage 6 and stage 10 in the first week. He will do everything to win on MTF like Hautacam, Ventoux and Loze because he struggled there in the past. The MTT is also tailormade for him, where only Vingegaard can challenge him.

I think courses matter a lot. MSR lacks any hard parts to wear down MVDP and the other teams. And Cipressa being very easy means that the gaps should be small. As strong as Pogacar is, I don't think he is strong enough to hold a big group with a small gap between Cipressa and Poggio.

Besides, I think you got it wrong. It's usually 2nd tier rider who sit on wheels waiting and marking for their leader. If MVDP just sits behind Pog that means he is the second tier rider whom you deem important and Philipsen is the real number one.

MSR misses Manie. Don't even know why they removed it

Nibali won Sanremo without Manie. More recently.

Sanremo is the one race left that's open. Let's not lopside it so that Tuft Hair Jesus can win it easily okay

I agree. It's a lot more fun to watch Pogacar try different ways and eventually win it than just see him drop everyone like in Lombardia.

It's probably good for mental health of his rivals and their fans to see the Jesus losing at least one race a year.

Manie is part of MSR's history. I also would like Kapelmuur to be back even if this current RVV is better and more difficult. You talk like Manie is decisive, when it's very far from the finish line. MSR is no boring until Poggio. With Manie back, we would have a proper race in the last 100 km.

"proper race in the last 100km" is not part of Sanremo's history
So MSR only exists since 1990? MSR is not just Cipressa-Poggio combo and Manie is part of MSR. You talk like if they add Manie, Pogacar will just win with a 100 km solo...

It wasn't a race from 100km.

We all know which people want Le Manie back and why.
I can use the same argument. We all know which people don't want Le Manie back and why. I already said I would like to have the Muur back even if Pogacar had more troubles to win the race. You don't like Le Manie because you don't like Pogacar but I'm pretty sure if he wasn't racing, you didn't bother at all.
