Generally the most predictable race of the season in that no one ever wins with a break and the latest the leaders are caught is near the bottom of the climb. It's also a race where the same ten or so riders often fight for victory. Not sure how that formula is going to change unless the route is radically altered and made harder.

I don't think making the race harder is going to chance much necessarily if you keep the same finish, everyone will still just be waiting for Mur de Huy.

Perhaps this formula is what organizers are happy with, but from a viewers pov. it's the same mistake that the Gold Race used to make for a long time with Cauberg. They stepped away from it, and now it's actually become a decent, acceptable race. Nothing spectacular, but you'll get a good hour of racing. I think Waalse Pijl too would benefit from placing the finish somewhere around Namur, and have the last Mur 30 odd kilometers from the finish.

Flech Wallone has its own identity, it shouldn't change, what's the point of having another race like Brabant Pijl, Amstel and Liege. The shootout on the Mur is great fun

What the point is? Let me answer this question by raising another question: would your girlfriend or wife be satisfied with 5 hours of foreplay and a minute of actual action?
She has to be because 1 minute is all I can manage. But 1 minute with ilmaestro it's a good minute.

Fleche wallone is the ultimate puncheur shootout, there no other race like it, we get to know who is the absolute best in the world. And it's a midweek race, I'm busy , I don't spent my life watching cycling, watching races from start to end, so I'm happy to tune in 20k to go and see the final.

If you want bunch of hills 20km from the final you have already amstel, Liege, even flanders. Let's not make every race the same

You're a sprinter?

Who knew?

Oh well, quality matters more than quantity.

But now maybe your profile pic is representative of your girlfriend after an illmaestro99 minute.

ASO's newest press release says "Tadej [is] ready to Po-Go-Go in the Ardennes". Not quite sure what's that supposed to be, but I guess we will see.

Tadej hasn't really impacted this uphill drag race yet so FW organizers may be too excited here. Or they can brag about their race being so difficult (read easy) that even Pogi can't conquer the Mur.

Tadej Pogacar can become the first ever rider to have a CQ score of over 4000 if he gains 507 or more points during the Ardennes. He will have to ride FW to have a shot at this, though.

FYI
AGR and FW give 220/132/112/96/86/... points
LBL gives 280/170/145/125/112/... points

He already had that after Flanders last year.

Edit: You even liked a post about it on page 138 on this thread :p
