I gave you the current pogacar's FTP-431W, current weight 65.5 kg, calculate w/kg yourself 😉, I gave you what "Inigo san Millan famous "zone 2" means, which is 5.0-5.5 w/kg, now I'm giving you info that Pogačar trains 3 times a week on a much improved Colnago T1 bike and I can tell you that he improved on the UAE test track in Valencia at 30 km compared to last year by 45 seconds (Remco, fisherman watch out), in short Pogačar 2024 is fear and trembling for everyone, it is still questionable how he will solve the problem with the heat on the Tour, that is still being worked on, the new coach Sola and the best expert in that field (his name is kept secret) will be at the altitude training after the Giro and will try to implement new techniques in training for the Tour, stay well everyone, pozz
The more pressing issue UAE should be trying to solve is finding DS's with an ounce of racecraft and tactics knowledge.

Ok Mourinho, i think vingegaard should not even go to the Tour, he will not have a chance.

If Pogi thought he was good enough to win the Tour, he wouldn't ride the Giro. It's not like the latter better fits his calendar, rather the opposite, so it's quite telling.
Pogi wants to win everything. He won the tour two years in a row. Of course he tried a third time but he lost to Vinge. So he wanted revenge, that was last year, but lost again.
So now it's time to win the Giro. Last year he won a few one day races, so don't have to do them this year.

The same users who think the Giro will benefit him as a preparation for the Tour, will be the same users who will use that as an "excuse" if he fades again in the Tour.

Tell me how I'm wrong.

Had Pogi gone to the Giro as the defending Tour champion, I could easily see that result from an appetite for the Corsa Rosa, but after going home hungry twice from the Tour, it's clear that he needs a GT win on his plate (even if the lesser one will have to do).

This tracks with him not thinking that he is likely to beat Vingegaard.

Due to proximity we Slovenians likely value Giro a bit higher then an average cycling fan. So i believe Pogi just honestly wants to add Giro to his palmares. As for the Tour, you win some you lose some. It's not like Pogi or Jonas or ... can change that.

But then there is the worlds, considering the route Pogi for sure has that set as a main goal too. So for starters lets do Giro first and if Pogi wins overall then he already has a successful GC season in his bag. The rest is bonus.

I don't think doing both the Giro in May and the Tour in July is the optimal path towards the Worlds in September. Rather the opposite: it's the worst prep he can have. So it's not a consideration that should favour Giro participation.

If he wins the double, all of the doubters up to that point will be no where to be found. This is how it goes online. We don’t have to do the work. We just think we know what it takes
Few if no regulars here disappear after a wrong prediction. I for one certainly expect to still be around by time of the Vuelta.

So you'll know where to find this doubter.

I have a conspiracy theory that after 4 years of only riding the Tour Pogacar just really wants to ride the Giro
Okay. How is that a conspiracy?

I too believe that he really wants to ride the Giro, even if I don't think that's because of a conspiracy. I also don't see any contradiction between that and my point that his decision indicates that he doesn't believe that he is likely to beat Vingegaard in the Tour.
