Well no, msr proved cycling is still alive but will prove it dead next year with 20 watts added to it@yaf It should be RIP cycling 1868-2023. This year they finally gave Teddy a bike with round wheels and look what happened. Boonen was right.

A lot of emotional damage coming upSome people should just go into therapy right away, save time so their ready.
2025 gonne be absolutely wild.
Don't worry. This seems a marketing move. I'm pretty sure it will be all about the legs.Good for Pogacar, but its got to the point it isn't about who has the best legs any more. Now its who has got the most money. This trend could destroy masters racing.
I hope you are right but this trend has been going on for a while now.Don't worry. This seems a marketing move. I'm pretty sure it will be all about the legs.
Pogacar is still not close to beat Remco or Ganna in a flat TT so I'm not bothered about this new bike. In road races, even if he gets 5/10 watts extra, it is the difference between a winning margin of 2 minutes to 2 and half minutes.I hope you are right but this trend has been going on for a while now.
Getting back to Pog's new Colnago, I don't find it ugly. Confronting would be a better word.
But aerodynamics don't care about aesthetics. Similar in Formula 1, the cars are quite ugly now due to aero development.
I think it's a big jump for everyone throughout the team to jump to new platform and riding positions are going to be really limited for lots of riders w handlebars set up. Think things are likely similar to Visma, use different bike for different circumstances, Cervelo cockpit is more versatile even if it's heavier or less aero ..Why change their bikes drastically when everything went good last year. Don’t even like the new one.
If he shows a similar level next year compared to 2024, I think we can accurately say Pogacar was badly (or not optimally) coached before 2024.If anything he has had the worst bike for years compared to many, thats pretty common knowledge so if he/they level the playing fields to the best there I mean thats only fair. That being said its common to market it like this.
I weirdly enough dont find it ugly not that I care about that stuff but I dont, it just looks fast.
I think the prices started getting out of hand around 2016. Back then a team spec bike ridden in the peloton was still relatively affordable. And technology like discs and aero frames introduced since then are part of but not all the problem. That said, I'm honestly pretty disgusted with bike prices already
But I can easily buy a new car for less than Pogacar’s new Colnago. Even the cheapest new cars are way more complex than a bicycle. But as I pointed out, we don’t need to compare to cars, just against prices for new top spec bikes a few years ago. I mentioned disc brakes and aero. But electronic shifting also added a lot in cost. Obviously a lot of easy money to be made in top end bicycles. That's nothing, you should see car prices.
Car prices in the US are obscene. Lots of things to talk about there, but I don't want to derail the thread. Average new car price is now $47k. People drop like $80k on new trucks. That's nothing, you should see car prices.
I'm excited to see what kind of surprises we will get with his racing program. I don't know if he will race LBL next year.
Probably before dinner. 5-6 hours of training (9 am to 3 pm), rest and then media stuff (around 6-7 pm).At what time today will be clear what his schedule looks like?
I thinh he will unless he goes to Romandie. It's a big race and there's nothing much else to do during that time. I don't think he'll finish his spring on 6th of April.I'm excited to see what kind of surprises we will get with his racing program. I don't know if he will race LBL next year.
Yeah but he needs a light program to target later in the season Tour-Vuelta-WC-GdL. This is a 3 month peakI thinh he will unless he goes to Romandie. It's a big race and there's nothing much else to do during that time. I don't think he'll finish his spring on 6th of April.
He will, if he wins MSR.I think if it's dry he'll enter Roubaix's startlist last minute
