Exactly. Someone in my opinion just severely overrates him and neglects basic facts, and he is great in his lane cause he is based on facts dont get me wrong, great GT rider no flame.

But anyone watching Lombardia, or WCRR last year and think Vingegaard gonne be close to Pogacar in WCRR, sorry personally I find that embarassing.

I agree. One thing is mountain stages where Vingegaard already proved he is on par or very close to Pogacar but monuments or WC is just nonsense. Pogacar is the most successful hilly monuments winner (6 wins) since Merckx (7 wins). It is very possible Pogacar will become this season the most prolific winner in hilly monuments (GdL and LBL) ever. Vingegaard's best result is a 14th place in 2021 GdL. In 2022, he won the Tour but finished 16th in GdL, 2 minutes behind Pogacar. I think he knows he is not good enough in 6 hours races

Why is Vingegaard even being mentioned in a Pog thread where we are discussing the worlds? Vingegaard will never win a worlds. Worlds are never conducted on HC climbs. And could anyone seriously imagine Vingegaard doing what Pog did in the 2024 WCRR? Sorry, not possible.

I would love it if they did one though. Imagine a circuit of up and down the various sides of Mortirolo 4 times.

Me too. We never had climbing routes with 20+ minutes climbs.

they'll probably say let's win the Vuelta this year, then Roubaix will be on the schedule from next year I think

I think they will release his schedule after the Tour. Until the Tour, I think his schedule is locked (which means no Giro, no PR and probably Dauphiné).

Pog is still in Monaco with bling doing some dodgy lactate testing with Carlos Sainz’s PT who only trains Sainz and a bunch of models. No way UAE is actually letting a random lactate test him but I guess they are probably filming more YouTube content for Sainz channel.

He doesn't like the Vuelta. At least he loves the Giro way more. It is surprising he is thinking in the Giro after classics. It would be a suicide move.

Not sure he doesn't like the vuelta. Pogi himself doesn't make such statements, nor would the team (or teammates). @mou on the other hand would and the closest he's come to saying pogi doesn't like a race is le tour.
