Yes mate. I'm not even worried about the result right now. Just want him to create chaos and unleash a full Pogenheimer.

He will probably ride MSR every year till the career end so why not trying Cipressa madness once? :p
I still think they haven't maximized Cipressa+Poggio damage yet and can do it better with an uber-team.

I want to se attack on Cipressa sooo bad but there is no way it would work. Even if he gains 15 second (there is no way), he then must have at least one guy with him, still being able to go turbo on poggio and then again having enough power till the end. No way with allll teams chasing him.

Adam Yates will be important in 4 stages only. Stages 12, 14 (he will rest in the MTT), 18, 19. Maybe I could add Mont Ventoux but it is a unipuerto stage so he doesn't need to be good.

I don't even think he is needed on stage 12.
Noone is doing anything before Hautacam and on Hautacam it's pretty much Pogacar vs Vingegaard.

although, the same thing happened at worlds with pogi out front, and the belgium squad melted one after the other trying to stay with him.

Pogi totally meant to send it on Cipressa last year and didn't because of position at the base of the climb after the bottleneck. I've screenshot this sometime ago and it was like 2-3 EF guys who lead the bottleneck and ALL of the favorites from each team looking to react to Pogi's (not so) "secret attack."

Pogacar needs Yates to launch him before a thermonuclear attack. Yates can do things Almeida is not able to do and I think Pla d'Adet and Col de Joux Plane are perfect examples of that.

Im hyped for the next weeks. I hope he rides paris roubaix but if not we still have him at MSR, E3, GW, Ronde.
It will be fantastic.
He isn't riding Roubaix this year. The team doesn't want it, and Colnago is preparing something specifically for next year.

But Pogacar won't even need to attack.
Besides, I guess Vingegaard will be behind after week one and Visma will set the pace launching Vingegaard.

Fair enough. I feel like I miss good podcasting from Benelux regions. With colnago owned by the sponsor (somehow) I can see why this would be very embarrassing.

Naah, noone is stopping him to ride Roubaix IF he wins MSR (that's a big IF, I know) and RvV.
Yup, Pogacar is the boss there. He does whatever he wants because he is the face of cycling and is the only rider able to win big races in UAE.

He doesn't really do what he wants, I highly doubt he wanted to start his season in the desert in February.

Doing Roubaix with a(small) chance to win all the great one day races in the same year...his team won't stop him. But he needs to win MSR first.

UAE Tour is his team's home race. I highly doubt also Gianetti likes to see him racing RVV, GW, etc.

The main problem here is Pogi is capable of winning Tour, Vuelta and Worlds, that is unless he crashes at PR. So the trade-off is huge.

Do you reckon Jonas would crash at PR whilst fighting for the win?
The risk is higher in PR but cycling is a very dangerous sport, any rider can risk his season/career/life in every stage/classic they race.
Lambrecht died in a stupid straight and flat road.

Do you reckon Jonas would crash at PR whilst fighting for the win? On top of that did both Pogi and Jonas already crashed in the 2025 season? Is PR in general considered to be a crash fest?
When it's wet, yeah. Otherwise, the problems are usually mechanicals. I am sure someone here has actual data supporting or refuting these thoughts.

Thinking about this. Would he actually stop racing MSR and what on the schedule might inspire this omission? Brother @mou says it is a cicaban race. I don't see Pogi not riding SB every year so there is no real reason not to ride MSR aside from race days.
