When it's wet, yeah. Otherwise, the problems are usually mechanicals. I am sure someone here has actual data supporting or refuting these thoughts.
I mean there would be no such dilemmas in the first place if that would not be the case.

Thinking about this. Would he actually stop racing MSR and what on the schedule might inspire this omission? Brother @mou says it is a cicaban race. I don't see Pogi not riding SB every year so there is no real reason not to ride MSR aside from race days.He will probably ride MSR every year till the career end so why not trying Cipressa madness once?
I still think they haven't maximized Cipressa+Poggio damage yet and can do it better with an uber-team.
He isn't riding Roubaix this year. The team doesn't want it, and Colnago is preparing something specifically for next year.
He will try until he wins it. I would like to see Pompeiana instead of Cipressa at least one time. And Manie would be good too.Thinking about this. I don’t think so. If he wins it one time, he’ll probably want more cause he tasted the victory already. Don’t think going to MSR would compromise those races you mentioned if he wants to win them anyway. But does he stop riding msr annually if he wins? And what else would he do? Focus on things like E3, Ddv, and gw
He is chasing Merckx. I don't think he will reach Merckx but double digits monuments is very possible.I don’t think so. It's just a wild guess but if he wins MSR this year (and then wins the Tour easily), I see him giving a shot of the GT triple. But does he stop riding msr annually if he wins? And what else would he do? Focus on things like E3, Ddv, and gw
If he can win MSR then it is highly probable that he reaches double digits in monument wins before the end of 2025.He is chasing Merckx. I don't think he will reach Merckx but double digits monuments is very possible.

4) it is very close to his home.No he won't. MSR:
1) is a monument
2) it doesn't collide with anything in the schedule
3) is relatively easy in terms of attrition
Teddy will ride it till the end of his career.
I don't believe he can win MSR. Dropping MVP is impossible for him.If he can win MSR then it is highly probable that he reaches double digits in monument wins before the end of 2025.
Nah. He told he doesn't want to spend too much time away from his home. It's just a wild guess but if he wins MSR this year (and then wins the Tour easily), I see him giving a shot of the GT triple.
MVP is a few years older so Pogi wil be able to drop him someday.I don't believe he can win MSR. Dropping MVP is impossible for him.

MVP is only worried about Pogacar. Last year, he gave up from winning MSR, to make Pogacar lose.A lot can happen in bike racing. MVP should be rated above Pog right now regarding MSR but it can change. With enough number of tries (Pogacar will easily reach double digit number of tries) the total probability of winning isn't that small.
All hail the GOAT!How many riders say they are racing for 2nd when they are competing against Pogacar?

“You race for second place when you race against Pogacar” – Movistar’s latest talent reveals astonishing level of Tadej Pogacar

That's not what happened, you are rewriting history.MVP is only worried about Pogacar. Last year, he gave up from winning MSR, to make Pogacar lose.
Don't tell me Alpecin had a better chance of winning MSR with Philipsen against a peloton of 30 riders than MVP winning a sprint against Pogacar.

And he could surpass Pogacar right after the climb but he didn't even try it.Exactly what happened.
MVDP closed the gap and responded to his attacks. Sacrificed himself.
Otherwise, Pog likely goes solo.
Yup, he was just marking him and controlling the group. He was riding for Philipsen. Evident on the flat as well. And he could surpass Pogacar right after the climb but he didn't even try it.
He needs at least 5sec at the top, or he will be brought back in the descent.poggio is 3,7 km,pog needs to go with 1,5 left and put 10w/kg for 2 and half and than tt til end.can he do it,lol.
