MSR always was won by a variety of different riders. This was no different when Manie was introduced in the race.
Manie would be a interesting addition but without it, MSR is a race where nothing happens during 270 km. I will say again, the same people who say Manie should not be introduced again, are the same people 10 years ago were against the current route. A rider cannot be harmed just because he is so much better. Even Pompeiana was introduced because the route wasn't delivering a good show.

The rider (Pogacar) isn't harmed as the race is the same as it was when he started riding. It's not like anyone changed the route with the sole purpose of him not winning it.

You don't alter a route so that a single rider benefits just because he can't/it's hard for him to win it and his fans want that.

MSR route has changed route numerous amount of times. It is part of every race to make tweaks. All the monuments (or any race for that matter) have and will likely continue to do so. Would not be strange at all. We know the reason why some wouldnt, but same ones will complain on the route of every other race. Hilarious.
