Maybe because you and yaf are trying to create the image that mvdp "mocked" Pog. And that Pog is "pissed off" at him and Mathieu should "apologise and bow" That's delusional.
It's common knowledge they get along great. We don't need this made-up hostile bs. Can't you just enjoy these great athletes in a normal way?
I've never said VDP mocked Pog, my friend.
What I said is that Pog is pissed because he's an incredibly competitive cyclist.
He wants to be the greatest of all time. He has the mindset of a killer when he's racing, even though he's a genuinely kind person off the bike.
We’re all here as passionate fans, enjoying the discussion and sharing our perspectives. A lively debate is part of what makes a forum engaging.
That said, I'm not disrespecting any forum member. I respect everyone's opinion, even when I disagree. But this is a forum—it's a space for discussion, for exploring hypotheses and possibilities, for enjoying the debate, not for constantly having anyone call attention with this forced stance.
"Ahhh, we must respect VDP. Ahhh, we must not underestimate Vingegaard", and so on.
I am entitled to my opinion—that’s why I’m here. If I want to say that I support Pogacar winning decisively over VDP, that doesn’t mean I disrespect VDP. If I say I want Pogacar to beat Vingegaard and that his fragile ego won’t withstand it, that’s my opinion, it's what I believe.
I’m not disrespecting anyone here. It just seems like people want to position themselves as the leader of Pogacar’s fans and dictate what we can or cannot say. That’s not right.
I respect everyone's opinion, and I would appreciate it if mine could be respected as well—without anyone constantly policing it. You’re not a moderator. If anyone were actually crossing a line here, I’m sure the forum’s moderation team would step in.
And that is clearly not the case. Everyone here is engaging respectfully.
Could you not simply respect the opinions of other members, even if you don’t agree with them?
