Vdp can take 2 secs per corner on such conditions. He doesn't even need to drop them with pure power he can drop them on the corners
I can be wrong but I doubt. As usual, people talk like he will gain PR on technique. Didn't see that in 2022 (when he lost to Sonny).

I don‘t think the rain suits Van der Poel in Roubaix quite as much as some say, it also inhibits his powerful acceleration.
I don't know if I agree with you but I can tell you MVP is overrated in his bike handling. He is very good, probably the best but it is silly to think he can win PR based on his technique when the only (truly) technical PR he raced, he was beaten by Sonny (and Veermersch).
MVP wins this race if his legs are great as usual.

Haven't u seen any cyclo cross race the past couple of years? He constantly dropped wva due to his techniques on the mud especially on the descending parts

WVA is a shadow of his former self. MVP wins cyclo cross races because he is more powerful. In 2023, he was beaten by WVA sometimes, do you really think MVP got so much better technically?
I will say again, he is very good but he wins these races because he is a monster (limitless power).

Well, still an impressive Paris-Roubaix debut. Honestly, he rode impressively until that crash. Sucks that we didn't get to see a proper 1 v 1 between him and MVDP but looking forward to next year. He'll definitely come back to try and win it.

Yep. It was first appearancd. He will learn a lot from this. Just like in RVV 2022, he didn't drop MVP because he waited for the Paterberg.

Gonna be hard to win this one when you're losing at least a second every single corner. He's no match for MVP's technical ability and it showed today.

So proud of Pog.

He broke a lot of riders in his 1st appearance.

He definitely has the engine to win P-R in the future. He was smiling at the end.
Yep. It was disappointing to see him wasting an opportunity of winning PR with a stupid mistake but good performance overall.
