The giro is a race he can’t hold into later in the career, imo. I think pogi will be competing until his mid 30’s (god willing) and save this talk about early retirement. But the giro is not a cakewalk. Don’t expect wins to appear here too much later
The Giro is the most suited GT to Pogacar. If there is a race where he can shine without putting all out efforts, it's the Giro. No one handles the tough weather like him.

Urska is with Pogacar in Isola. This means one thing to me, Pogacar will race the Vuelta and wants to spend more time with Urska before the Tour-Vuelta double.

Nice

You talked about this and you are probably right the only thing that could make Pogi re-think his Vuelta participation is if Vingegaard really challenges him and he finishes totally exhausted.
The Dauphine probably gave him a boost of confidence that it should be ok.

I think next year he’ll go all in for PR again. He realised how close he got this year. Will be a bit like Flanders 23.
PR is a fickle and hard b*tch to win. Investing any part of a season is inviting a season-interupting injury in Pave sector #1. Bad vibes...
Better to just plan for a good early season and hope for the best. Ask all the guys that rode it 10 times, got in the 4 once and kept beating themselves up. It's like splitting aces in Blackjack when you're betting $20 a hand and winning. Then recalling that moment when it's $1,000/hand.....
