So why it's important being close to Monaco? It's not like Tignes is in Australia.
Maybe he simply likes this place. Or maybe Visma, Bora and Soudal reserved all accomodations in Tignes so Pogacar can't stay there.

I agree. UAE realised the only thing stopping him from doing both Tour and Vuelta was time away from home so they are just bringing her to all the camps. She was also in Sierra Nevada.Urska is with Pogacar in Isola. This means one thing to me, Pogacar will race the Vuelta and wants to spend more time with Urska before the Tour-Vuelta double.
He seems to drive to most races that he can so he probably likes the idea he can just go home for a few days before the tour easily and not worry. He did say in an interview that he was going home for a few days before.Maybe he simply likes this place. Even Jonas knows he is screwed

Over who? MvdP?Yup. He was very close this year. I just want a bit of rain to give him an advantage.
Yup. I hope he wins the Vuelta and tries to win MSR and PR again next year.He ain't ready for the New gen of Poggenheimer.
In 2024 Pogi was only a few months in with Sola. Now he is finally primed to display his full power.
2025 - 2028 is peak Pogacar time.
Nobody. Almeida is so strong right now, like wtfWho is gonna follow Pogacar after Almeida's leadout?
Yup, this is what I was trying to say. It is very possible to see Almeida leading out Pogacar and only Vingegaard there.Nobody. Almeida is so strong right now, like wtf
The only chance of that happening is if Pogacar is able to make lots of long range attacks and doesn't require Almeida to pull the group.Mou has been predicting podium at tour for Almeida for months now
It could happen if the final 3-4 selection includes a working almeidaThe only chance of that happening is if Pogacar is able to make lots of long range attacks and doesn't require Almeida to pull the group.
And even then, Almeida would have to be stronger than everybody other than Vingegaard, which is not likely to happen (even though it might be possible).
No. Almeida just needs to drop Evenepoel in the mountains while working to Pogacar. The only chance of that happening is if Pogacar is able to make lots of long range attacks and doesn't require Almeida to pull the group.
And even then, Almeida would have to be stronger than everybody other than Vingegaard, which is not likely to happen (even though it might be possible).
I don't think Almeida is stronger than Remco or Roglic head to head if all are in TDF shape. It could happen if the final 3-4 selection includes a working almeida
I agree with you when you talk about Remco and Roglic. All other riders you mentioned have no chance of finishing in front of Almeida (bar Lipowitz).I don't think Almeida is stronger than Remco or Roglic head to head if all are in TDF shape.
And if Almeida has to work hard, there are a few guys that will give him a run for his money if they are in form and if they are GC focused.
Carapaz, Lipowitz, Carlos Rodriguez, Enric Mas, Simon Yates, Gaudu, Buitrago, Lenny Martinez....
A lot has to go his way... even more than last year's TDF.
It happened with Yates, so why not Almeida? The only chance of that happening is if Pogacar is able to make lots of long range attacks and doesn't require Almeida to pull the group.
And even then, Almeida would have to be stronger than everybody other than Vingegaard, which is not likely to happen (even though it might be possible).
