He might need to ride hard enough to break some but Ventoux is the Roubaix of climbs. The wind dictates just like the mud. It doesn't mean it isn't always epic but not always as fast. Love to see them do it and very glad I never had to race it at sub 140lbs.Not all but Hautacam, Peyragudes and Mont Ventoux will be all out efforts from UAE/Pogacar
Vingegaard was cruising in the Dauphine 2022.Y'all must've forgot. Vinge lost last year because he couldn't prepare properly with his broken ribs and collarbone, he basically came off the couch and took 2nd place. Y'all must've forgot how it ended the prior two years. Dauphine says nothing, Jonas will come back in top form from Fignes, all while Pog has already peaked.
Exactly, the Pog boys are in for a rude awakening come Le TourVingegaard was cruising in the Dauphine 2022.
Not exactly, it's really the opposite since he was going hard in the Dauphine 2025Exactly, the Pog boys are in for a rude awakening come Le Tour
Was Merckx World Champ when he won RVV and TDF in the same season?I believe Pogacar can make history in 3 weeks:
- First rider since Merckx to win GJ, YJ, PDJ. He just needs to target the green jersey.
- Stage wins record holder. The first week will be important and I think 2 stage wins are a sure deal.
- First rider since Merckx to win RVV and TdF in the same season.
Wait for the 3rd week with some multi mountain stagesY'all must've forgot.
No. He was WC in 1967 and won the Tour and RVV in 1969.Was Merckx World Champ when he won RVV and TDF in the same season?
Prud'homme created a scenario where Pogacar will likely go all out in order to win 3 stages.
If we add the MTT, Superbagneres and one hilly stage in the first week, we have 6 stage wins for Pogacar.

The importance of Hautacam, Mont Ventoux and the Col de la Loze in the fight for the 2025 yellow jerseywww.cyclingnews.com
Hautacam is the first test in the mountains, if he feels well he will go for the win there, there's no doubtBut is he obsessed about those particular climbs because he was dropped there? Mt Ventoux is very prestigious so he will want to win there. Loze was a terrible experience so maybe he will want to win this time. I don't think he's thinking too much about winning Hautacam.
I compare him to Ayuso because Ayuso also gave an interview last year saying he wanted the podium and a stage. No, he won't. He is loyal and Hautacam will give us a clar idea of that. Never compare him with Ayuso again, please. I get migraines when I read things like this.
UAE can put pressure on everyone immediately but especially Wout, Jorgenson, and Visma..most of first 10 days ( -TT?) Suit Van Aert for green or stages, will Visma allow Wout to race for results or play more conservative and reserve all team energy for Vingegaard? UAE is not going to repeat , on purpose any Del Toro deja vu..they have a plan, only question is how many teams are going to chase the rabbits.. And 2025 reference.. Almeida can drop Gee or Hirt like a dirty diaper on hot July afternoon!!I compare him to Ayuso because Ayuso also gave an interview last year saying he wanted the podium and a stage.
I think it's a big mistake for Almeida to give an interview and say the same thing as Ayuso.
Whether he'll do it remains to be seen. Last year, the only one who sacrificed himself was Adam Yates. Almeida went at his own pace to take fourth place. He didn't drop back after pushing hard for Pogacar. That's the reality, or we've seen different Tour2024.
We don't know how Almeida will act, because he didn't last year. But that interview doesn't help.
Saying that his goal is the podium makes him look like Ayuso.
If one day he finishes 10 minutes behind because he's a domestique, it will be different. But if he finishes third, it will be like last year when Almeida didn´t even drop Jan Hirt or Derek Gee because he was at his own pace and then finished fourth in every stage.
If it´s as you say, its incompatible with saying that ´his goal is to be on the podium.
In Almeida's last interview he said the only objective for the Tour is to help Pogacar win.I compare him to Ayuso because Ayuso also gave an interview last year saying he wanted the podium and a stage.
I think it's a big mistake for Almeida to give an interview and say the same thing as Ayuso.
You compare him but you should not compare. It is an insult.I compare him to Ayuso because Ayuso also gave an interview last year saying he wanted the podium and a stage.

We will see if Almeida will empty his tank for Pog.im not so sure about thatYou compare him but you should not compare. It is an insult.
He never gave us reason to doubt him. He was always loyal to Pogi. Of course he can also have personal goals. He will be at least 6th, best case scenario 3rd (if somebody crashes and Pogacar doesn't need a lot of help). But he will be loyal. We will see if Almeida will empty his tank for Pog.im not so sure about that
The Dauphine actually says everything. Jonas couldn't apply effort to stay on Tadej's wheel in almost any situation Pogacar when serious about accelerating.Y'all must've forgot.
At this point in recovery it's sensible that Wout is going to work the first week. No need to burn up anyone else or hunt for sprint wins unless the situation comes easier. It's apparent Lidl-Trek knows how to beat almost anyone on those stages and will put out the effort. Freelancers will love that. GC teams will work to keep their riders safe unless something dramatic happens. Something dramatic seems to happen alot so there's that.UAE can put pressure on everyone immediately but especially Wout, Jorgenson, and Visma..most of first 10 days ( -TT?) Ayuso never worked for a teammate while Almeida has and worked for Pogacar and others last year. The only issue is if Almeida has to completely empty himself in support of Pogacar. Especially when Almeida said helping Pogacar win is the main goal and any personal goals are secondary. Ayuso never said that.Ayuso was very criticized last year for saying he had personal goals at the Tour, it's the same situation.
