I never understood why Vingegaard isn't suited to punchy climbs because he is light. In fact being lighter is better in steep gradients
Its pretty obvious really, he doesnt have the same massive anaerobic power and fast-twitch muscle fibers, weight is important indeed, but there is so much more to it.

It's true but even on those punchy 2-3 -minute climbs aerobic component is very important (likely around 70% or more) and Vingo has superb w/kg (way superior to all other guys except Pogi), which helps on steep sections. On top of that his anaerobic abilities seem underrated here (I don't mean pure watts but w/kg) .

This is true. Pogacar is better on these climbs but Vingegaard being lighter is not the reason for Pogacar being better. Pogacar has more fast-twitch muscle fibers like you said.

Every time Pogi does something, be it a 100k solo attack or ten pedal strokes on a steep climb, maybe just a weird look at an opponent, we analyze it to death. Is it a good sign or a bad omen? Is he hiding something, has he overexerted himself, how many hairs stood up through his helmet?
I bet we'd be all surprised, if the truth was revealed by some magic, at how both simpler and different things really are from what we're hallucinating.
It's exactly how ChatGPT produces it's famous blunders, lack of data and very high demand.

Pogi is not a machine, he doesn't spin knucklehead strategies while riding in the peloton, many things happen and nobody at UAE knows exactly how and why. Least of all himself. Sometimes he does exactly the plan, but everybody plans to win.
Sometimes he does Pogi things and retrospectively a purpose and meaning is assigned to them.

But he is a confirmation bias dream. He won again, I knew it! We fans all feel like gods and prophets.
Just remember, everything ends one day.
It goes from "Eh, why not?" to "Long time, no see, eh?".

The bald fraud talked about Pogacar.

It is the only thing keeping him relevant

I at least expect the official jerseys to take advantage of the latest tech that the official sponsor has developed so far, so pog should get this same skinsuit. Otherwise it would be totally unfair, considering they can't ride using their own materials

Hopefully Santini uses that for MvdP and TP's yellow and dots suits!

From the front page story:
"To put the possible gains in context, according to Cyclingnews' Labs wind-tunnel testing of skinsuits, the top-tier Passion Project RR 1.0 saved 55 seconds over 40km at 250 watts compared to entry-level kit, and 15 seconds over a lower-tier skinsuit from the same brand."

I’ll be interested to see how the ITT goes but I’ve been watching cycling enough to know that pog routinely has “bad” time trials every once in a while. Hopefully they fixed whatever problem or he just got his random bad ITT performance out of him before the tour.
Re watched the last km of dauphine TT of all the gc contenders & it was visible to see pog not pushing all out to the line while everybody was showing faces sprinting to the line. I am leaning towards tom danielsen's conclusion of pog helding back deliberately in that TT i dont know why he did that but if its about playing games with the competition knowing what he could do on the mountains its quite scary

It's hard for me to agree with him to be honest.

Would need more than the musings of Tom Danielson to be convinced of anything like that...
