The gap to Almeida will become infinitely big tomorrow, since he has abandoned the race. Which is too bad as he was Pogi's strongest helper... but in the end it won't really matter if Pogi is as strong as he has been for quite some time now.
Stage 11 will also have a climb very steep in the end so let's see if Pogacar can drop Vingegaard there or will just wait for Narvaez to pace.

Sometimes it's harder to control a stage like tomorrow's. Because it starts uphill and there's no flat section. And because there are more riders capable of handling the mid-mountain stage than the high-mountain stage, so tomorrow's break probabbly will be more competitive than a high-mountain stage.
I agree that the shorter climbs encourage more riders to think they have a chance and can ride high power 8-12 minutes uphill than can sustain it 20-25 minutes on a cat 1 or HC climb.

The mountain train tapping out a gap controlling rhythm is much easier to do on the multi high mountains than an up and down all day parcours like tomorrow.

Was just coming in to say that about Wout. If you noticed, he was nowhere today. Unfortunately for him (and Visma) today was really hard on everybody.

If Wout gets in the break, Jorg and Vingo take turns trying to bridge to him on one of or multiple climbs.
