Also UAE dominating Visma in the mountains even without Almeida..People never learn, stuck to the past, I can never wrap my head around people telling themselves things they wanne believe opposed to what we see and numbers.

Imagine what Almeida would do here, he actually woulda have a good chance to beat Vingegaard like he has previous times this year with signs. Not saying he would just its a possibility, he beat him in the TT even as well so.

Based on everything we have seen from Joao, he would beat Jonas today IMO

Chapeau, Pog. More history, love to see it. No disrespect to Jonas either, even though I've always said that this year I suspected he's on a downward trend relative to others. That doesn't mean I don't respect him the guy is always fighting. There's nothing he can do against this; it's just the reality. One thing doesn't mean the other.

Hopefully no one rides into Pogacar again or anyone else of the big guys.

This gap and he crashed
every time I am worried he just makes me look like an idiot the next day, happy to be wrong, but what do you think of vingegaard? he was 1 minute slower than in 2022 (when the stage was also very hard with pog attacks on the penultimate climbs), and he was basically at the same level as lipowitz. I have the impression he focused a bit too much on putting mass to help his max power (he said he gained 1 kg= vs last year) but this has affected his climbing

I'm just saying he was not on his Pdb level, that's it. Btw vingegaard was one minute slower than he was in 2022, that's a lot, to me vingegaard's level today was the biggest surprise
Its not b/c both pog & jonas were worse than 2024 but the pacing of hautacam made it hard to beat the record. Narvaez put a nuclear power at 11 km to go even threatened to drop vingegaard probably did more than 600 watts there and both pog & jonas rode the fastest times on the first part of the climb but both faded into the 2nd part of the climb

I want to see the watts, Vingegaard was definitively worse than in 2024 Pdb, no doubt about that, pog also but by a smaller margin. I know the pacing on pdb was perfect, but to keep the wheels when the pace is high you still have to push the watts!!
