I think the heat took its toll but still an amazing performance.

So he is a master on both "extreme weathers". He can destroy any race in cold and rainy conditions and he destroys his rivals in really hot conditions.

Honestly think he’s at a similar level to last year. This was a hard hot stage, he crashed pretty hard yesterday, and the extremely fast but short Narvaez leadout was not conducive to high watts over a 35 minute climb (very effective in dropping Vingegaard though). And he still did probably his 3rd best performance ever after PdB and Isola.

Ayuso doesnt have much choice at the moment either way.

After seeing Del Toro, Almeida and Pog during the season... maybe instead of working by yourself within the team. Ride with and for the team. Improve, learn and fulfill your potential by being a part of the group. Get your chance by being a solid teammate and leader as well.

Maybe at least Vingo will take revenge next year and win Flandres + Liege. His explosivity is getting better while Teddy is slowly but surely turning into a diesel, right?

Pogacar is more explosive in spring, and Vingegaard is less competitive outside the Tour.

Unfortunately I think Jonas is close to retiring.

His palmares looks bad to me. He is way better than his results. He can't finish his career with just 2 TdF.

Because he's a rider who doesn't race much, like the riders of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Perhaps by racing more, he'd be less competitive in the Tour.
Riding the Giro-Tour is complicated, and next year he'll turn 30; he can't wait any longer, or Lipowitz or another young rider could surprise him any year.

He'll be regretting giving the Vuelta to Kuss. Now he has to fight for it with Pogacar, and in the future there may be stronger young riders.

It was crazy to give a GT, even to a teammate. They're hard to win. Pogacar wouldn't have done it.

Extremely high temperature was his true weakness. Pretty much each time he got dropped it was very hot, like he was struggling to recover.

Sola has been able to fix this issue.

Yup. He always was the most powerful rider (relative power) but consecutive hard stages with hot weather hurt him more than Vingegaard in the past.

I agree with you that for his ability he should have more, but to win races you have to go there! to really deserve more he has to actually go there and win

I hope next year he'll set his sights on the Giro-Vuelta (by the way, he's already gave away one).The only concern will be whether Pogacar wants to return to the Giro. 😰
