I hope next year he'll set his sights on the Giro-Vuelta (by the way, he's already gave away one).The only concern will be whether Pogacar wants to return to the Giro. 😰

If he wins this Tour he will probably not change his spring schedule: an all-out attack on the monuments.

He doesn't have more because he's not going to the Giro, and because he decided to give a Vuelta. He'll be regretting for that, seeing as he'll likely face Pogacar this year.

His palmares looks bad to me. He is way better than his results. He can't finish his career with just 2 TdF.

Idk. If Vingegaard retires after this year and is remembered just as the boogieman who stole two TdF titles from the GOAT I think he will be remembered as a more mythical rider than if he adds two Giros to his palmares but gets smacked in the Tour every single year. I think it's hard to see a scenario where his career is defined by anything other than being the guy who beat Pogacar. I really hope he doesn't retire, Pogacars dominance would be beyond comical without him, but I don't think it would hurt his career narrative.

I think Rabo/Vingo prepare for and ride the tour every year with intent to win it and don't mix it up with the Giro. They won it with Yates ffs.

He was a whisker from winning this one based on unfortunate circumstances.

The pacing was too high even for pogi that he wanted to tell narvaez to slow down but his radio wasn't working😅 That explains why Riis's time wasn't down

Seriously, without Vingegaard Pogacar could have just ridden away from his opponents on roughly 5 occasions during the flattest first week in recent history. With Vingegaard Pogacar does at least have to work for it.

He'll be regretting giving the Vuelta to Kuss. Now he has to fight for it with Pogacar, and in the future there may be stronger young riders.

It was crazy to give a GT, even to a teammate. They're hard to win. Pogacar wouldn't have done it.

It wasn't him who gave it to Kuss, it was Klugge...

Yup. Without Pogacar he would be about to easily win a 5th TdF. And maybe 1 or 2 Vuelta/Giro as he would probably be more confident to do them if he didn't have to face Pogacar in the Tour.

WC achievable more than ever. If Vingegaard is not a factor anymore, he can ride 3rd week of the Tour in easy mode, go to the Vuelta, kill Angliru and then easy ride to arrive as fresh as possible in Rwanda.

However I will refrain from being too excited as it is still a long way, lot can happen in the meantime

He might be at his best. There's not a lot of evidence he isn't compared to before. Basically, when you're forced to go into the red earlier to match a better biker, you simply drop a bit if not crack. Vingo wasn't particularly well test the two years he won.
