Pog is the better overall classics rider but it’s very close, if van der poel managed to win a liege the onus would be on Pog to win a San remo or Roubaix.

Looking at wins and monuments only if they finished their careers today they’d be about the same imo, Pog 9-8 but Van der poel the bigger wins.

But I would give much better chance for Pogacar to win San Remo (even with VDP in it) than Van Der Poel to win LBL, even without Pogacar in it.

Why? Do you think the TT will compromise his training for the RR?
I think he doesnt care about the ITT and he shouldnt really race or focus on it this year. It is not important.

Again, I think it is just some people getting ahead of themselves here. Similar to thinking Vuelta would have been a good idea this season.

The road race is the main objective and he needs to be fresh. His team will have a difficult time to be of much help.

The ITT doenst matter.

The ITT alone doesn't matter for a rider like Pogacar but a WC double is something never done before.

It's different. The Vuelta puts a strain on the calendar, and besides, Pogacar had had a tough spring.

The time trial is one day, and he's been resting.
Although he does need training. I think it would have been worth taking it seriously this year.

But he doesn't seem to be training for the time trial.

I am pretty sure that he does care about ITT but doean't want to put presure on him. On that course he should win against Remco but you never now.
If he prepares the TT,he will win.
We all know how good he is when he focuses on TTs. The Tour is a good example of that. In the last 2 TdF, he lost 0.5 s/km to Remco. In a hilly course, it's hard to not see him winning with the right preparation.
