Soler only works for Pogacar. Solerismo is real.
He gets better with racing days. This is why he is always bad in spring. He works for Pogacar at 60%. I didn't see him with the strength of his attack today throughout the Tour. Another teammate would be better suited to work like this. He couldn't win two stages because Soler wasn't in the right shape to pull.

Weak argument by Ten Dam. I liked him as a rider but this is so weak.
Because is based on nothing. Why is it weak? I agree with what Ten Dam is saying here. Not that I am right, it's just the impression I get from UAE as an outsider.
the first one that Arensman won for exampleWhich stages do you mean?
He doesn't have cancer anymore? If so, very good news! It's a pity he is leaving UAE though. What a surprise. He was Pogacar's favorite director.
UAE should take care of these things. If he was Pogacar's favorite director, why hasn't he returned to UAE?

Ventoux was a stage where Pollitt kept the break well in range then Sivakov and Soler were really poor.Which stages do you mean?
These spanish riders find another gear in their beloved Spain. I don't know why. They also don't.
Valverde
Mas
Purito
Soler
Etc
Froome was running out of gas in the third week.Nah, Purito was dropping prime Froome in TdF.
Amazing job by Pollitt in that stage and in the whole Tour really.Ventoux was a stage where Pollitt kept the break well in range then Sivakov and Soler were really poor.
Politt is a lock. Soler should earn his place by actually being in good form in the warm up races leading up to the Tour and not just because the Tour starts in Barcelona.I already said that only Yates and Sivakov have their places in risk for the Tour 2026.
Soler and Politt will be there for sure.
I don't understand why Soler is undisputed. This is the second year he's been stronger in the Vuelta than in the Tour. They should be sending riders who are stronger in the Tour, not preparing for the Vuelta.I already said that only Yates and Sivakov have their places in risk for the Tour 2026.
Soler and Politt will be there for sure.
But Soler is riding for UAE since 2022 and he was always in Tour. No way he gets out when the Tour is starting in Barcelona. Stage 2 will pass very close to his home.Politt is a lock. Soler should earn his place by actually being in good form in the warm up races leading up to the Tour and not just because the Tour starts in Barcelona.
Again, he has to earn that spot and not get it for free just because the Tour starts in Barcelona. It should not matter if the Tour is passing close to his home. If he wants a Tour spot, he has to show he's already close to or in top form ahead of the Tour, not be like "Oh I'll just use the Tour as warmup for the Vuelta". If not, there are more riders who are more deserving of a spot on the Tour team. But Soler is riding for UAE since 2022 and he was always in Tour. The TdF's team will be something like this:
Pogacar
Almeida (Giro-Tour)
Politt
Wellens
Narvaez
Soler
Two spots I have some doubts:
Yates/Del Toro
Vine/McNulty/Sivakov
In a perfect scenario, with every rider in top shape, I would choose Del Toro and Sivakov (due to his friendship and loyalty. More complete than Yates).
What I am saying is Soler can be at 90% and he still will race the TdF. If I agree? No, but Pogacar likes to have his mates there.Again, he has to earn that spot and not get it for free just because the Tour starts in Barcelona. It should not matter if the Tour is passing close to his home. That's great news for Allan Peiper (and Red Bull). I really rate him and wondered if he was officially retired or would make a comeback. Would much rather him than Matxin in the team car...What a surprise. He was Pogacar's favorite director.

He already left in 2022 to focus on his recovery and private life.He doesn't have cancer anymore? If so, very good news! It's a pity he is leaving UAE though.
In news here they report it was because he was in disagreement with UAE management. What a surprise. He was Pogacar's favorite director.

Where did you get this information? His numbers are better this year.
I checked his numbers before Quebec this year and last year, and despite his 2025 training ride being 2 hours shorter, he did an average power of 295 watts (in another one he did 290 watts). Last year he showed a training ride of 6:20 h with an average power of 277 watts (NP of 326 w).
Average power of 295 w is probably 340-350 w of NP.
Zone 2 is around 55-75% FTP. I believe he is doing around 75%. So 345/0.75= 460 w. 460/65= 7,08 w.
His FTP is around 7 w/kg.
Give him the rainbow jersey, dude is flying!
