I didn't know where to post this, here or Pogi's page on the main forum. I opted for here since it's a safe bet. It's an interview with Radoje Milić, who is a specialist in sports medicine and physiology. And has been Pogi's tester (doctor of sorts, in the faculty of sports, where they do tests on athletes and talents) since he was 13. Link to the whole article is here. You will need to translate it from slovene to english if you want to read all of it. I'll just post a few interesting bits from it.

In an interview with STA, he said that the reasons for Pogačar's exceptional racing are not doping: "All these insinuations are unfounded and disturbing. I believe that in such cases, it is a matter of envy on the part of certain cycling nations, which are unable to achieve greater success because of him. Unfortunately, there are also some doubts in Slovenia. It is sad that two fan camps have emerged in our country, instead of everyone rejoicing together in the outstanding achievements of Slovenian cyclists. I see improvements in his training since he changed coaches, and in his equipment. The bike has been completely adapted to his abilities so that he can do everything sitting down. We practically never see him stand up anymore, and they have also devoted more time to physical training.

If we compare his physique to that of Jonas Vingegaard, we can see that the Dane is completely flat. He has no buttocks at all, and I see this as a significant advantage for the Slovenian, who also has an excellent team supporting him.
He is the most tested cyclist. I don't believe that anyone could protect him as a Slovenian. He is an intelligent man, he wouldn't risk his health, and I am also convinced that the Arabs for which he rides for would immediately terminate their cooperation with him if they suspected that something was wrong. They invest too much money in the team. Tadej is a bit unlucky because one of the team leaders, Mauro Gianetti, has been linked to doping in the past.
Foreign journalists come to our laboratory under various pretexts. They act as if they are interested in this and that, they film, but in fact they are only looking for things where they might notice something wrong.

I believe that the telephone conversations of those involved are also being tapped. David Rožman
(head of assistants at the Ineos cycling team, who had to leave the Tour this year) also had problems because of a few contacts or conversations that were considered suspicious," says Milić, who claims that the controls are looking for specific things, while completely overlooking others: "Gianni Bugno tested positive for caffeine many years ago, but now no one pays any attention to him anymore.

He definitely needs to be careful about who he works with. And not just doctors. He needs to be careful about who gives him water bottles, who prepares his food and drinks, and a bunch of other stuff. Such things have already happened in the world of sports," warns Milić, who is convinced that there are people who could deliberately harm the Slovenian.

Pogačar's cycling intelligence also plays an important role in all of this: "He enjoys riding, he enjoys racing, he is completely relaxed, nothing hinders him. Just like Roglič, he knows how to observe his surroundings, listen to his competitors' breathing, and knows exactly when to attack. He also knows how to hide things with his facial expressions. However, I do not agree that he is less tired than others after the stages."
It's fun how they always come up with explanations but never with details and numbers that can give us a minor believe that his improvement, his lack of bad days and alien climb performances are real. So we should now believe that he rides while seated because he likes it more and that the billionaire arabs are examples of fairplay?

Although I still believe use of motors has a low probability (see previous post), the fact that he almost never stands up anymore is actually an other red flag for motor use. Riding seated is the most effective way to make use of a motor. The irregular torque while standing not only drains the battey faster but can limit the amount of power gain. If you want to use a motor, do it seated.

All I got from the Slovenian interview is that Pogacar appears to have a better ass than Vingegaard. That explains it all! 😆

Team Visma is a data driven team i.e they'll take his power profile and examine it using their AI-model and look for segments during the Tour where Pogacar is weak, if Pogacar makes all his numbers public, it will be used against him.

what numbers, lmao.you have all the numbers in the world today unless you are living under the rock.like it would change anything, lmao.what are we talking about.you literally have you tube chanells following pog and showing watts every 2 weeks, lol.

These are all estimates. They do not report it. Combine these estimates with all what we know of him sofar (e.g. a reported 89 VO2max) and we can conclude we are seeing something that we cannot explain without doping.

That interview could single-handedly fill several pages of the Names for dope and doping! thread.

'Bigger buttocks', 'unlucky with team leader', 'devoted more time to physical training', 'listen to competitor's breathing' ... :tearsofjoy:

Majka retirement, first thing I thought of was that hilarious anecdote that he used to throw his old testosterone needles into his neighbours garden.

“Del Nista continued saying that when Majka was training with Frediani he was using testosterone and would throw the needles in the neighbor’s garden,” read police records seen by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Del Nista said that Majka’s jaw line changed, becoming almost squared, because he was using testosterone and human growth hormones.”

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this as it's so shocking! Poor neighbours! If they had pets or children in the garden it's beyond an awful thing to do! :O

It's ok, the kids are grown up now, and they seem to have turned out perfectly normal;

This is not an unbiased view.

And all this bs about cycling intelligence and getting his bike so he can stay seated. Puhleeeze. It’s like Armstrong and his pedaling motion. None of this explains why there has been a huge jump in power since the start of 2024. All those years as a top pro and they SUDDENLY overnight find a solution that gives him a 10% boost. Ridiculous.

Pogacars massive jump in performance was mainly because of correcting the mistakes of his previous coach (San Millan) he had Pogacar doing Z2- training 80% of training days but with his new coach Sola he is doing more high intensity training, more intervalls, he fixed Pogacars problem with heat and restructured the altitude camps so to not overload Pogacar.

Its hilarius hearing arguments here, while its perfectly obvious that either whole peleton is doing it or noone.Overall level is suspicius, not just pogacar.what are we talking about, lol.its literally called watts inflation of 2024,lmao.we had slight recession this year, lol.my argument is that without co2 rebreathers visma lost something, lol.
