Might regret this in 10 years but I think all comments about motors are just ridiculing this whole forum. Makes this the place for tin foil hats. Easy to brush of all 'clinic' as a result as the place of conspiracy moon landing rejecting fools.

History, other sports and common sense all dictate peds are most common explanation. See the flare up regarding 'clean sky' era and how that lead to 'clean generation' now.
Suggesting another explanation than the most obvious one isn't ridiculous, especially as it has been used in the past (likely on the highest level) and we're probably not aware of the latest technical advancements.

It feels like, once he knew he couldn't win the stage, that he dialed it back a bit. If the gap had been 1-2 minutes smaller, no doubt he would have won the stage and put another minute into JV.

Disagree. In the end they were 43s behind VPP with Vingegaards pace. If he indeed could've put another minute into Vingo, that would put him over the line before VPP. So if he was so desperate, why didn't he just do so? I think he was happy defending it or couldn't go much faster today.

About sprinting to the line: these two have been doing this so often by now, the one time Pogi didn't do it it was a minor talking point if he was being arrogant in the Dauphiné.

So does doping protect you from falling ill? And if so: do we believe vdP is cleanz?
In it's early days exactly the opposite, when you experiment with blood doping you remove are store what you think ( thought) was healthy rich red blood..ooops!! The bagged blood not being circulating through the system has finite amount of antibodies, who work until they are gone, so yes you get some benefits, but you are also getting a transfusion, volume of blood with disproportionately low white cell counts.. The cycling equivalent of eating food off the floor of subway or bus station floor!! It's the other definition of dirty bags..

And today was a unipuerto stage where they were paced by teammates for a big part of the climb. And it's the Tour and not Dauphiné
It was paced by teammates for way too long. Chalet Reynard was basically going Simon Yates on the asphalt section of Finestre pace and Yates was soloing the whole thing at a higher altitude.

If there's a section where drafting helps tremendously it's the first 5-6km until they hit the steep part, not the part after.

Well they were paced there too.

My point is I'm not sure there's much of an advantage in riding a MTT compared to a unipuerto stage, where you can get pace for most of the climb.

as far as I'm aware that is the point of this thread...one can't raise these issues in the main forums; what would the point of this thread be otherwise?
Good question what is the point of this thread; i guess to *** or riders you dont like.... I have nothing against productive reasonable discussion about doping but calling best rider in the world a crook cause claim of doping (without any proof) is to much for me.

There are clinic pages about many riders. If there were proof of doping, there would be no need to discuss or debate it. As I wrote earlier, you are welcome to give your opinion, but you're also free to leave.

There have been plenty of discussions we even had two phds arguing over the finer points of uphill power production and estimation, there are 420 pages though in the thread there is little one can add in terms of arguments at this point, only reaffirm conclusions reached when new evidence is provided. Which is pretty much whenever UAE race.
so whenever he wins we call him a crook; which year we put line in sand if they dont get him people admit here they are wrong ?

cause I have a BIG problem calling riders crooks without any evidence
I have a big problem with people who lack critical thinking skills and believe that a rider can be top dog every single stage on any terrain all season, displaying a bigger dominance than Gewiss in Flèche Wallonne 1994 and doing this under the guidance of the most corrupt duo in cycling.

Still I wouldn't cry about it in someone else's thread.

Damn even reading all this made my eyes bleed.
I am an UCI junior judge. Thre is no way ANYBODY has a motor in TDF; eh....bad for my blood pressure
Your boss doesn't seem to be so convinced.

"We're in a technological arms race," Raudenski admitted to Cyclingnews in an interview after the backscatter x-ray device presentation.

"Components are getting lighter and smaller and so easier to conceal and harder to detect. We're up against the challenge of trying to stay out in front or at least not so far behind in the cat and mouse game of what is the new way that people could potentially try to cheat."

could you show me the part he says riders are using motors ? what we are doing its called prevention so nobody would even try.
Again, every winning bike goes in to xray but posters here just dont want to hear that
