Ayotte: "Just because it's small doesn't mean it's not doping."
Definition of doping: "The use of a drug or blood product to improve athletic performance".

50 picograms does not improve athletic performance, hence it is not doping.

What Ayette is insinuating is that athletes get suspended for breaking a rule they have not broken.

It's like someone stubbornly trying to bust you for home invasion even though the only thing you've done is grab a pear that fell off the tree in your neighbor's frontyard, 2 inches from the end of their property.

I mean... I know their job is to bust dopers, but we're getting to a point eerily similar to McCarthyism era: Everyone's a doper (communist).

Too rich. It's mind boggling the so-called greatest cyclist of our generation would seek every tiny advantage via cheating to ensure winning.

According to the UCI regulations:
"19. Doping is defined as the occurrence of one or more of the anti-doping rule violations set forth in article 21.
(...)
21. The following constitute anti-doping rule violations:
1. The presence of a Prohibited Substance or its Metabolites or Markers in a Rider's bodily Spcedimen"

the german ping ponger had more in his pee than berto..and he's cleared 100%.

i think berto doped but the definitions are for big wigs to cover their behinds not for real world.

The definitions are mostly for the Señores_Contador out there misrepresenting the definitions of doping.

Also, ping pong has little to do with the UCI.

why do they give clenbuterol to cows?Do they need to lose weight and improve their breathing?

They have probably organised a mountain time trial for cows at the local fate, Cow racing is the latest big thing its like Nascar but with cows. Plenty of drafting and a bunch stampede etc etc..

According to the UCI yes. According to Da Law, no.

And if Alberto is suspended and has enough money in his pocket he can bring the case to the Da Law and have an extremely easy time putting WADA to shame.

Of course, the UCI and WADA would make his cycling life a living hell, but he'd sort of clear his name.

not sure you realize pin pong and the uci both claim their anti-doping code is based wada. so, yes, Señores_Contador has a point because definitions are bagels with big holes.

Of course I realize, after all I read the UCI code right now to pick up the exact definition. Doesn't change the fact that, according to the code, the German ping pong player should have been suspended regardless of whether or not he took clenbuterol intentionally. My comment about ping pong not having a lot to do with the UCI referred to the different anti-doping cultures.

Wada can still appeal to CAS in the case of the pingpong-player. There's a big chance they will be able to get at least a year suspention for the guy there.
