Ah well lets get over todays stage and look to the future, it seems AS might have overtaken AC as the best climber, meaning we can look forward to 3-5 years of AS trying to get enough time in the mountains to stay ahead after the TT's, there's going to be some epic Tours from now on (hopefully including this one if AS can attack on Tourmalet).

For the last time AC wasn't attacking the yellow jersey. He was closing down Andy's attack when Andy had a mechanical.

Publicus... once he went past, Contador went to the front.

I'm not saying it's good or bad... but it does seem clear that he drove the pace at the front while Schleck was stopped with a mechanical.

I don't really have a problem with it... but if the final result is decided by less then the time difference today... there will be talk.

From what I saw today Andy has a very good chance to put serious time between himself and Contador on Tourmalet. I think Contador fears the same thing and that is why he attacked when he saw that Andy had a mechanical. If he had more confidence in his form vs. Andy's he would have waited.

He. Didn't. Attack. Because. Of. The. Mechanical. He was trying to close down Andy's attack when the mechanical happened, and blew by him on his left when he came to a stop.

I don't know what happened after that, but I am 100% positive of the above.

Great ride by Andy. Rode faster than ALberto uphill and only a few seconds slower than S Sanchez on the descent. Hopefully he'll get his desvered revenge on the tourmalet.

Contadoosh with the worst ever attack in the history of the TDF....
good job.

I really hope the tables get turned and Contadoosh gets attacked whilst he is taking a ****!

I don't like what Berto did, but I guess he can not wait for Schleck to come back so he can attack him back again. That would be stupid.

Having said that, Andy needs to improve his descending skills.

Isn't this a little pay back from the Cobbles stage when Andy took advantage of everybody's missfortune? They are even now.

I don't know what happened after the mechanical, my iphone dropped the feed--so I don't have any comment on that. I'm just disputing this notion that AC was dropped, saw the mechanical and then attacked. That wasn't what happened.

"Drove" the pace or tried to control the pace? I didn't see him exactly dropping Menchov or Sanchez.
