The rules don't apply to Contador.

He attacks his teammates.

He attacks the yellow jersey with a mechanical.

He may be in the yellow jersey, but he is not a champion.

It was even a bit of instant karma, as Andy tried to profit from a moment when Contador seemed to be paying no attention at all.

huh? there is nothing wrong with attacking if someone is not paying attention! are you suggesting that someone should make sure his closest rival is paying attention before attacking?

attacking the MJ when he's down is not ok. again, it's about the MJ whoever is in it.

He definitely has a good eye for talent and knows how to get the best out of his guys. I think Brad didn't understand just how good he had it at Garmin (no pressure to win vs. monumental pressure to win/produce results).

The other way to look at it is that Wigans was well aware of how lucky he had was and decided to make the most of it. Both he and Vaughters got out with a pile of cash at Sky's expense.

There is little honor among the dishonorable. What more could we expect?

Kinda makes me appreciate the Ullrich/Armstrong battle .

On the replay. When Andy's chain went Vino was already on his wheel, but Contador took a good 3-5 seconds to catch up with Andy going nowhere. He had opened up a somewhat signigicant gap...

Onto tomorrow, does anyone honestly see any big battles going on??

Because Andy ATTACKED WHEN CONTADOR WAS AT THE BACK. He did it on purpose, and now he needs to SUCK IT UP.

Andy attacked when Contador COULDN"T IMMEDIATELY COVER, and turnabout is fair play.

I don't really understand this. When Cancellara attacked Boonen in PR the consensus was that Boonen should have been more attentive. Schleck attacking Contador when Contador drifted too far back is IMO a good racing ploy. Contador attacking Schleck during a mechanical is IMO a bit cheesy.

EDIT: Andy seems to agree (natch)

I didn't see the finish today, but saw the Dirk Hofman Motorhomes placard on an earlier stage. Check out his website: http://www.dirkhofman.be/

It was there!

Chris Boardman saying Contador was ok to go, he was already closing the gaps so it was fine to carry on.

Alos question Shleck no having a chain watch? Cost him 50grams?

Do you think the same of Gesink, Valverde, Basso?

The situation was different. Evans was hanging at the back of that group and then his wheel went. It is very likely noone saw what had happened; and that Basso (who did almost all of the pulling) probably just thought Evans had been dropped.

Obviously not the case here.

Worse yet for Andy is that Samu and Dennis M are now within striking distance of him, for the ITT.
Yesterday's track standing biting him the ass.

I think it will be a fired up Schleck, on the Tourmalet, come Thursday.

I had the same feeling, that being said there was 1 difference, there was 1 whole stage where it felt like Ullrich could actually beat Armstrong while it is quite obvious to me Contador is **** scared of Schleklet.

On another note - Vino proved he IS a team player today by not going out in front of Schleck. He might have been able to pass him several times but hung back. Kudos to him!

yeah i placed huge doubt on ryder. but he was fantastic today, in fact he was better then the likes of gesink... who did not look good today.

it was unlucky what happend to schleck. but i bet my car schleck would have pushed on also.
