No, not really. Armstrong is a fraud and a cheat who will be exposed shortly. To see him win another stage would be a disgrace to cycling.

+1.

and how fitting that he got beat by two frenchmen who "don't know how to train properly and make use of the new tarmac on the roads and the groundbreaking invention of powerbars".

:D

4 out of the 5 mountain stages have been won by Frenchmen :D

I was thinking about time bonuses while riding today and I came to the conclusion that they've (or the actually the lack of them) helped riders from escape groups win more stages. The GC teams have no reason to waste energy chasing riders who have no meaning to the GC on mountain stages. With time bonuses Astana would probably have been more active since Contador would've gained time from winning/finishing high.

If you're not north american, as most of the world is not, you really don't care about that.

Well... you could replace North America with World. Except in Spain where Contador is big, most of the World only knows cycling through LA's accomplishment and branding.

Once he's gone, the sport is going to lose a lot.

Anyway, to those saying he's a cheat, please wait until the investigation is over to say such foolish stuff.

Be entertained. While others congratulate the winner, he's doing what losers have and always will do.

Which is.

Getting their paid lackeys to lick harder, it was fabulosity on speed to see
those really awful guys break the kneck of his swan song. It was a bit uncomfortable for twenty seconds. He deserves nothing, nothing but contempt, to see him "win" today would have switched my TV off for the rest of the race.

Still some booing for AC.

Stephen Roche says that all French TV, radio etc.. people were saying that he did the right thing yesterday.

By branding, are you slyly referring to puncture marks?

I agree. We're lucky Lance was here to bring cycling to the masses. You know, I remember watching some chap named Boardman doing something at the '92 olympics but I never knew what it was before Lance.

And I'd never heard of people like Anquetil, Coppi, Merckx, Indurain, Lemond (the fat, bitter, cancer lover *hawk-spit*), until Lance.

And praise be to Lance for bringing some little race in France to global popularity.

Why they didn't try set a sprint with Horner puling until 150 m with Armstrong on his wheel and then sprinting?

Why didn't Geraint and Bradley take some pulls along Rabo, Garmin and Omega-Pharma for Sky's only GC-hope Thomas Löfkvist?

As for that: was there any AG2R pulling for Roche?

Bah, dissappointed.

(If Wiggins wanted to save himself for TT then the breakaway on today's stage made no sense)

Now you see, to me, this rubbish is worst than name calling. You aren't just insulting an individual poster, but entire nations, including Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy and France.

It's probably that 40-odd Livestrong flunky group.

Bravo, in honor of the French and the great Bip put your hat back on and smile for the cameras. Real cycling fans weren't uncomfortable for a second. It was a great stage and even a better finish.
