Ok Thor Hushovd is certifiably insane. If he bridges to Cunego and Armstrong then the question has to be asked, why has he been wasting his time as a sprinter all these years instead of shedding some pounds and going for the GC?

Exactly.

If this happens, then considering he hasnt had a win in the cobbled classics, he should go for the ardenne classics.

At the risk of making ACF magically appear........Is Evans still shelled out the back somewhere? I'm only listening to the Eurosport Audio not the live video feed, so i have no idea

He was 4:50 behind and Basso was 9:30 behind at the top of the second climb.

Chris horner almost up to Lance now. Where the **** is Levi? Shouldnt he be burying himself as well?

Would not be allowed out of the group for that task, given his GC standing. Levi has got himself a day off, and probably relatively support-less, as the Shack will sacrifice it all for a (slim) chance to seal Lance's farewell glory.

And that is a sensible move too, from the Shack point of view.

I think so he was off the back of even the Hushovd/Hincappie group, but I could be wrong. Gerraint Thomas is in the Peloton.

Didn't think I'd ever think this, but maybe the "team" race, the Caisse vs. Shack struggle, is becoming one of the more interesting races this tour? :D

Oh marvellous. I go to have a shower before the SBS coverage starts thinking well this might be an interesting day after all. I get out to find the slippers and cocoa are out, were there any fights over the slankets?

Oh i doubt for even one moment this attack has anything to do with the team thing. This is for Lance.

And for Cancer sufferers everywhere. Livestrong and all that...

I dont get it.

You think the guys who struggled on the cat 1 will find it easier on the hc?

Yes, because its towards the back end of the race, where they will get relatively stronger in comparison to the opposition. They probably react poorly to such a brutal pace at the start of a stage.

That and if Moreau can take the remaining 60 points available, he talkes Polkas I think.

EDIT - No, but he will get close.

It's not all that engaging, but it's the only racing going on right now so sure.

Levi should sign a disclaimer voiding his claim to a GC place and go and help Lance in my opinion

So all the Giro guys bar Vino are finding it a tough third week.

On another slightly off topic note: How come lotto all of a sudden seem to have a team that can sufficiently (probably wouldn't call it awesome) support a GC guy? even though most of these guys have been on the team for years?
