I'll give Versus this much credit, they have done everything they can to soften the blow of Armstrong's performance.

no... just no...
Yes. His prologue was ok, but he was dropped on the very first mountain stage, even before Armstrong was.

Maybe he can't hold his level for 3 weeks, but the problem is he never really had it in this Tour. So sorry, your argument is void.

Moreau only 4 seconds slower than Pharmstrong. Seems Armstrong even lost his advantage against his own generation

For example, Moerenhout is now far superior?

These junior results are meaningless, VDB2 has been junior world champion on the TT. The longer the TT is, the more Kreuziger fades away. I'd give the edge to an old fox like Horner on this one.

What about the 39k ITT in TdS last year, top 10 I believe. Pretty tough up an down TT.

Exactly, up and down, and only 39km. Still, he lost to guys like Burghardt and co...

But with comparable time trials from today, Kreuziger never did well, I posted the results yesterday. Ofcourse it's all about recuperation now, so he might go into the top 10. I just doubt he will. He is slightly overrated as specialist in my opinion

after a massive over-hyping PR campaign?

Yep. It is as if they were always skeptical about his ability to win the Tour. It is as if that massive over-hyping PR campaign never really happened. Let us celebrate this great champion's swan song. That takes some real dexterity.

And now they are talking about what would have been if he hadn't gotten a flat, crashed on Stage 9, quit for several stages thereafter. Wait, that last one was mine.

Maybe the guys from Sport Science and Acogan can give some feedback on efficiency and output loss (instead of gains), and what losses, measured from prior consistent, peak performance, make statistical sense. And what could account for those losses.

But that's something for the fitness forum.

OK, Horner at the start.

Very little posting today and yesterday........ do all these people who called themselves "fans of the tdf" all of last week actually only watch/post during the big mountain stages?

yup....and stick around long enough to complain about the "sprinters jersey".
Why is there no TT jersey?

Anyone know what the wind speed is?

Horner....

Do you have a link/post#/page#? I was looking for them... I could only recall the TdS.

Shack, somebody else, Shack, somebody else, Shack somebody else, Shack....

It's a one team event at the moment.

Lance's helmet might be glittlering, but he isn't.

Harmon continually pushing the Horner overhaul. I hope he doesn't end up with LLS doing the overhaulling.....

Vice-president of cycling federation of Kazahstan just said on russian Eurosport that Vino decided not to quit yet, not even partially, and that he'll do full season next year.

whats up with the glitter on lances helmet?

That's Lance's specially designed, one-of-a-kind TT helmet. It cost $15,000 according to some article in Velonews back around the time of the prologue. 15K for the guy who isn't in the top 10 and also isn't even the best TTer in his team.

LA needs to write a new book, "It's Not About the Helmet." :p

Funny. VS has Armstrong consistently in the picture, and Sporza shows images of castles at the same time.

Wiggins loses 2m at 36km?
