The jumpy feed is really F'king me off.

Eh, nothing's really happening anyway. There won't be any more action until the Madeleine, unless someone falls over on this descent.

Mike Creed and Schmalz (one of the guys who creates Toto comic) are doing an audio broadcast of the stage starting in about 15 minutes. I am going to mute the TV and enjoy the Versus video with some snarky commentary rather than the tiresome Phil-n-Paul show.

At least if Versus is going to insist on showing a dude who's 15 minutes back on GC so much, there can be some humor in it.

That sounds cool, can you post a link when it starts up?

It's here. Right now I think they are only playing music to keep the feed open. Commentary will begin at 9 Eastern (US) time.

Schmalz does a hilarious recap of each day's Tour stage on that same site, so his audio should be good too.

You need a cardboard strip cut into the silhouette of movie theater seats and the MST3K regulars that you can put at the bottom of your TV.

Sounds interesting, might give it a go.

mms://75.125.198.226:2347 is the link to the feed (open it in your media player of choice).

NO! I need that RS jersey icon. It's very important not lose sight of where the guy in 39th place is. :D The whole race hinges on him! :p

Paul just said Botero won the last stage which went over Madeleine (ending in Briancon).

It was VINO...

I think Paul meant to say Botero won the climb itself, as he did crest that first.

Yeah, too bad. Sounds like they are trying to work on it. I wanted to hear more about Jens being in a break being like Viagra for masters racers.

so any predictions on which GC favorite will lose time?
On stages like this there is typically 1 or 2

Hushovd out of the back on my TdF ticker. Anyone knows what the story is there?

Dave Harmon reckoned he crashed not long after the intermediate sprint - he certainly dropped back out of the break. He was at the doctor's car a little while ago so maybe got a bit bashed up but whatever happened did so off-screen.

wiggans, hesjedal, and van den broeck...

Nice little bit of uphill for someone to take advantage of if there's a group sprint going to the finish.

Good old Phil and Paul ... if there was ever a good reason for mute!

On another note, I really love some of the bizarre thinking about what will put BMC "under pressure". Sending JB (Radio Fail) up the road will not.
