so radioshack dont send anyone in a break once again. Typical JB. No excitement

They actually tried. At various times, Horner, Brajkovic, Paulinho, and Popo were in breaks but none of them stuck or could bridge to the front group.

I think Horner would have been well suited for a break today. He would dearly love to win a TdF stage. Sad.

The reality is that for all the BS about Bruyneel being a master tactician, he has a p!ss poor record of winning anything other than long multi-day races of attrition where the most doped rider wins. He does not appear to know how to have his team hunt for stage wins like other teams.

I know this is clinic stuff, but it makes the allegations of floyd all the more plausible. Without the uci in your pocket, what can you really win?

Sorry. Wrong thread I know.

Why not let them get a big lead? LLS is not a threat really and if he got yellow it would take the pressure off bmc. Even if evans felt he needed to keep yellow. The madeleine is where possibly teams like saxo, radioshack, astana or liquigas would take over on the climbs.

No way Luis-Leon will get the yellow, no chance. Evans, Andy or Contador will wear the yellow at the end of the day. That's it.

Get back to us with the number of classics that master tactician Bruyneel managed to win, Mr. Wizard.

I'm going on the Records saying that Andy Schleck has been over hyped and that he won't get dropped on the final climb of the day, but he will be put in real difficulty.

He will show weakness today

No it is not because it does not show any tactical genius to have the most doped up rider win what is effectively a race of attrition. A monkey could have done his job. Someone like Riis, who started with a small budgeted team, grew it to a large successfull team, and has won all sorts of races with all sorts of riders, has a much better claim to tactical genius than Bruyneel will ever have.

I don't think so. If the contenders decide to really race then they will want to go over the top together after dropping one or two GC threats. They need enough people to stay away to the finish. I think someone like Wigans might have trouble.

 I thought we all knew that they are no saxo bank? Seriously, any team who expects them to be riding on the front the whole day is kidding themselves when it comes to BMC. We are a young team who lacks an extra one or two climbers. It is not great we don't have frank here as he can climb quite well.

"We"?

+1.

Although you could argue his tactics for evading tests was pretty impressive.

If Bruyneel can claim credit for Yates work at the Giro then Riis can claim credit for Andersen's work as well. :)

Of BMC? Not a great fan, but I have no beef with them either and they have indeed done well so far, both the team and Evans. I was simply making a general observation that when it comes to sports teams it tends to be "we" won, but "they" lost.
