Yeh good call on Hesjedal I think after the first climb he will be dropped for sure, also think Rogers and Wiggins as the gradient at the top is steep

Yeah, too bad. Sounds like they are trying to work on it. I wanted to hear more about Jens being in a break being like Viagra for masters racers.

I'm in the office so I have to have it fairly quiet and I can't make out a single word they are saying. Oh well.

Le Mevel apparently off to Garmin next season, according to British Eurosport.

Hmmm, you would think that guy can make a lot more money in a French team :?

Nice little bit of uphill for someone to take advantage of if there's a group sprint going to the finish.

That's actually quite a punishing run-in. Someone who was on a good day and attacked on the Madeleine or even on the descent could increase their advantage here rather than see their lead erroded

Yeah, a bit of strange move I agree. Perhaps he'll be their next GC-pretender?

The break starts the climb of L Madeleine.

So, will we see Saxo or Astana push the pace on the Madeleine, or are they happy to let BMC set a steady but not punishing tempo?

Lol epic battle between Chavanel, Pineau and Gutierrez to become the super combatif this year.

As long as Gutierrez doesn't win a stage though or changes his citizenship I think he'll have little chance

cunego won't survive no matter what he does...

the best thing about cunego is how much he ****es off his majesty

maybe, just maybe cunego is clean and that is why he stinks it up :)

Dave Harmon reckoned he crashed not long after the intermediate sprint - he certainly dropped back out of the break. He was at the doctor's car a little while ago so maybe got a bit bashed up but whatever happened did so off-screen.

Anyone else think it looks stupid when the KOM jersey gets crapper out the back at the start of serious climbs? It should be a mixture of points and GC standings

Looks like someone has sat down with Menchov before this year's tour and told him that he might want to try the novel strategy of staying more up front if he doesn't want to get caught out by crashes, splits, etc.

Why spoil his perfect record of crashing in every GT he does?
