I was surprised as well. And why wasn't he used more as a goto domestique during his time at Ineos?

Elissonde was much stronger than Henao in Burgos so I’m surprised he wasn’t selected instead of him. Also Kiryienka, Stannard, Doull and Puccio seems like one flat domestique too many for this route but then I guess they aren’t really expecting to control the race in the mountains.

Yeah, but Kiryienka and Doull should be able to help out some though? Just pacing the peloton up an early climb when pace not too high. JV will probably control most of the stages I assume.

Yes, but two Grand Tours in a year for a 21 year old is perhaps a bit much.

Indeed. Same with Sivakov. You have to make decisions in the best long term interests of the riders and they have done to be fair.

I've discovered what their problem was today: their commander was up in orbit instead of in the DS car! And not doing a very good job up there either,

Yes agreed, its definitely too much despite him being in good form, same with Sivakov.
