Of the 20 million, 35% will go into advertising, 25% into admin fees. 20% into staffing costs and 15% lost to fraud, leaving just enough to sign clement champoussin on a 2 year deal.

I've heard you have to sign their younger brother to attract the rider you really want, so I'm thinking they should go all in on Bryan Alaphilippe.

Funny how Tadej Pogacar is such a benchmark, everyone, everything is compared to him. Today Richard Carapaz, asleep again, bad result.. Roglic showing form, Tiberi showed he is ready, Del Toro getting pretty average report card when he is time trialing against the best.. Guy under the radar is Thymen Arensman who beat Pogacar not once but twice at TDF, he turned in a good time against quality like Ganna.
Ineos has some tools and are pretty quiet so far.
Arensman is really talented..

Does that mean they will offer Tadej in hope they snatch Tilen, who, of course, would be their primary target?

Edit; Just imagine the publicity. "Ineos sign T. Pogacar in a breaking deal".

Ineos have one eye on the Tour's TTT - Onley says the work paid off at P-N -

Yet despite the pressure of the moment, the team’s preparation proved decisive. “A team time trial is really different from an individual one,” he said. “It’s something the team has focused on a lot this year. It’s an important factor in a lot of the big races this season, so we’ve put a big emphasis on it.”
Behind the scenes, that focus has extended well beyond the riders themselves. “There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that people don’t see. So it’s really nice to be able to finish it off for them as well.”

What a mess today in Paris-Nice. They’ve blown probably their only real chance of winning a major stage race this season.

They had a chance of beating Vingegaard?

And even had they pivoted to Vauquelin earlier, they were never bringing his group back.
I think Vauqelin would have finished within 10-20 seconds of Vingegaard if in the same group at the bottom of the climb. With this weather, who knows the natural difference in level (Vingegaard always the better rider) would have been neutralised / reversed...

If they pivoted to Vauquelin earlier, they'd at least still have a chance for the win, either through a coup (unlikely), Vauquelin dropping Vingegaard (unlikely) or Vingegaard dropping out due to a crash / illness (not wishing for that, not very likely but has happened before).

The most important issue now for Ineos / Vauquelin is that Paris-Nice was probably the best race to support Vauqelin as it's a French guy in a French race, but they let him down.
