What was Bartalucci doing at Sky?

They start out with a policy of not hiring any doctors who had previously worked in cycling and then after just one year they bring on board two doping doctors? You couldn't make it up!

Brailsford needs to be held to account for his unethical and irresponsible actions and given his P45.

Maybe you have a link to show definitive proof of a past doping infraction?
So far Bartalucci is being hung for being in San Remo at the wrong time.

Really MV? I do think that the standards you apply to Sky and British cycling are very different the standards you have applied to other suspect teams, riders and nations in the past.

I don't recall you being so demanding when it was Astana, USP, Disco, Rabo, QS etc being called into question.

I'm aware that Bartalucci also worked for Marc Madiot at FDJ.
Considered by many (not by you, obviously) to run a clean team.
Something a bit more concrete that just posting his name in the Clinic
would help.

definitive proof right here that you've got some nasty wool pulled over you eyes.

stop asking for definite proof. it's not there. a bit lame and predictable to answer all posts you don't agree with in that manner

you might want to consider this when accusations fly, in this thread or elsewhere.

a bit too much certainty by those in no position to express it.

Hold on - it wasn't like Bartalucci was on vacation in San Remo and got lifted walking down the street.

Nor is he "being hung", he is rightly identified as one of those charged during those raids. Sky are being hung, and rightly so, as Bartalucci is another person who should not have been hired under their own terms.

The demand for more concrete information was rarely demanded when fingers were being pointed at people working for Astana, or for T-Mob, etc

Of all people given your criticism of Armstrong and others over the years and your anti-doping stance, your position when it comes to Sky/British cycling seems more than a little incongruous.

Well right there is something I wasn't aware of.
I was aware he was "arrested" and presumed he'd been taking in for questioning, during the blitz raids (1 of 9 doctors out of initially 84, then 51 "suspects") but not that he'd actually been charged.
I've seen nothing on charges that I assume relate to possession of banned substances?

proecuted?

details i read were from an earlier clinic thread / the web............i read that

bartalucci was 'charged' but not charged as i see it.....ie prosecuted

( maybe words were lost in translation )

report was he had a couple of dubious products such as caffiene tablets but
nothing serious enough to stop him being released after the raid without
further action

I never said "arrested". - nor do I know if he was, but he was one of the 52 sent notices by the prosecutor in Florence.

I have doubts. I also have knowledge.
Sky being meshed with BC causes me concern.

Well, I used the term arrested, since I remember the raid well.
84 taken away by the police.
Verbruggen pleading Cippo and Pantani leading.
Ended up with an ice cream.
Watched the whole ugly episode on Rai.

Anyhow, thanks for that link. Dodgy translation says something along the lines that the prosecutor would decide whether or not to charge the foreigners later, due to it being more complex.

I'm curious as to why you keep bringing up Richie Porte as the guy who'll floyd up their asses eventually.

I think if anyone will Floyd them it'll be Cavendish. Short temper, bailed on the team, not all that fond of Wiggins and a he's got a mightily big mouth.

Maybe. He is how you describe him for sure. Can be a loose cannon. But I am thinking that if anyone floyds on Sky it would be someone who feels he has really been wronged by them.
Cav is gone and he will just keep on winning because of his talent. Porte, I don't know enough about to pick him either.
So who on Sky could leave team and have a scenario that played out like the Lance affair. Probably no one that I can think of.
I actually think that there will develop some really bad internal conflicts and somebody might say the wrong thing, someone get busted, Maybe Richie there. Who knows.
