You can't figure out the point i was making

I think that if Walsh is going to tweet about Sky at all while travelling with the team, fair comments like that one are surely acceptable.

That doesn't mean that all his tweets are like that, of course...

That'll be a great relief to Sudanese war criminals and the like.

"What??!! You chopped her hands off?? and then you did what?"

"But they all were doing it, sir!"

"really? All of 'em?"

"well, not all, but lot and lots of 'em, sir, yes."

"Fair enough, so."

Don't know you but on a scale of 0-10 by order of how bad a crime can be, id have mutilating and raping innocents around the 9 mark and taking peds at about a 0.2

As it would happen - I have the former at about 10, and the latter about 5, like most other deliberate frauds for gain. But hey, if you think PEDs aren't all that bad, fair enough.

What's a 0.1? Picking your nose?

But the main point about dilution is fairly well skewered, methinks. No?

It wasn't just the general claim though. This bit was clearly a comparison to the doping discussion.

On human level you have to feel sympathy for Wiggins. He comes to Giro as big favourite and whatever people think, he has given his best.

Not a crime in my book, but each his own i suppose

I know peds are bad but cheating someone out of a placing really cant be put on the same scale as destroying their lives.

Well you offered an extreme example which at best proves that there are occasional exceptions.
On the other side i can offer a father who steals bread to feed his starving family.

But even in your example its not quite that simple. The people who take part in these activities have witnessed inhuman levels of violence since they were born. Most have had their family members butchered in front of their eyes before they were 10. The perpetrators are very often children and it is known that the leaders of such paramilitary groups give the child soldiers high ammounts of dehumanizing psychedelic drugs.

Remember when American coverage had the Armstrong tracker during his comeback and we all LOLed as he fell apart in 2010? Looks like the Brits have their own version. It must have been rough today.

Aye terrible rough day, talk me through the sprint finish!

Seriously though the British press/media does a wonderful job of kicking fallen heroes & failures to the kerb. Wiggins will be back to being Belgian, just like it was Scotsman Andy Murray who got injured yesterday and Briton Andy Murray who won the Olympics & US Open.

If/when Wiggins tests positive the feeding frenzy will be something to behold, there will be no attempt at redemption with Oprah/Jonathan Ross he'll just be chewed over and spat out

If the drugs overcome their capacity for reason, they aren't at fault.

If fear for their own safety overcomes them, they are only partially at fault, through duress of the free will.

It was the 'culture'? Two hidious wrongs make a right? F*** that. Whether it's Darfur or Dubrovnik, Beirut or Belfast, f*** that.

Don't underestimate Wiggums' fanboys. JimmyVickers will be there right up to the end, right until Wiggums confesses on Top Gear.

I doubt it, he is after all a Murdoch employee, the non-Murdoch press won't be able to help themselves.

You were the one who came up with the scale of 0-10, and who compared PEDs to rape and mutilation in order to make them look a less serious offence:

I wouldn't even think of making such a ridiculous comparison. I'm glad to see you've come to your senses so quickly.

Poor as my wording may have been, saying that something is on a different scale to something else is like saying something is in a different league to something else- a saying.

The point being that 1 is significantly more serious than the other.

My initial scale was all encompassing - any crime. The second one was a metaphorical scale for the sake of hyperbole.

But yes it was poor writing on my part.

Luckily, we have Cav to save us from our post-Wiggo depression, so I think we'll muddle through. :)

I have just seen you on the prorace forums praising a doped performance to bash a rider.

It just shows who you truly are, just like theHog turning out to be a bit of a Lance fan.

Don’t worry I’m sure Wiggo was squeeze out another autobiography from all of this. That will make 6 books in 6 years.

Wow. I did not think there are any people left who still believe in unicorns.

Kudos on the "not my favorite team" bit. That was a nice touch. The Armstrong guys did not reach that stage until about 2009.

So, if you believe that Froome and Wiggins are clean you believe in Unicorns? Where is the smoke, the covered up positives, the rumours from ex team mates etc? You make it sound like they're Armstrong and co! They are patently not. Be sceptical, but don't pretend that you have a single clue about anything tangible about either of them, you don't, simple as that.
