Yes, it's pretty much the standard path to Tour greatness, placing 5th, 2:20 back from David Millar on a pan-flat 40k course. About a year before basically becoming the top GT rider in the world.

Makes sense.

How strange that none of the riders ahead of him were able to make these amazing leaps in form. Nice riders, a couple of them, but somehow not able to progress and continue to beat the world-beating Froome.

Got the excuse prepared for when Froome and Brad smash the times of Lance, Pantani and big Jan up the mountains and there isn't a headwind/sidewind/tailwind

Sir Dave Brailsford has declared that Team Sky’s latest bike - - has the potential to be a game-changer in professional road cycling.

It is just so much fun following this sport. We are just missing some religious figure. Can't someone get the pope on a bike.

Also look at the size of him - i'm no expert but may be 1 st / 7 kg too heavy? Maybe more?

When Pinarello faces off against Cervelo in the rider-less Tour de Laboratory, it should be quite compelling. Must break the hearts of all these scientist when they are informed that less-than aero human beings will be straddling these modern wonders, thereby negating all these silly marginal gains.
