A considerable quantity of kenalog ordered - more than than could possibly be used by Wiggins alone

No record of fluamicil being ordered

Now we have the how, and it has the potential to take down the whole ridiculous BC/Sky house of cards

So this laptop containing private medical records was stolen, in 2014.

I'm sure there is a Police report to substantiate this claim, in 2014, & not last week ?

And in many countries, when personal/medical data is lost/stolen, there are also other reporting requirements, such as to a data protection commissioner ?

The smell of bovine manure off this is getting stronger by the minute
Unfortunately it can only be the case that the folks that preach attention to detail don't back up their vitally important data and happily let employees wonder all round the world with their only copy of it

Ah. But since we're taking about medical records here; there is a much higher standard of behaviour, not just expected; but legally required. So if Sky admit that they failed to meet the minimum legal standards, they have committed a criminal offense, & in theory, the people whose medical records were stolen, can also sue Sky

and Sir DB can't just slither away, because as Head Honcho, he's the one who is held responsible.

Sky had procedures in place for downloading medical records to dropbox for storage, procedures that Freeman did not follow.

It isn't good enough to just blame one individual; its up to the organisation to ensure that correct procedures are followed. I'm not even sure if Dropbox is permissible for data like this; possibly if it was the business version & not the personal one, but even then, where was this laptop backed up to ?

I the place where I used to work, the disks on laptops were encrypted; so even if they were stolen the data was protected, & there was a backup agent running on the laptop, to ensure data was always backed up. Users were explictly told which folders were backed up, & you got nasty emails if you laptop hadn't synced up in the last week.

UKAD would request a copy of the report from the Hellenic Police through Interpol, it's unlikely that it would be granted as these are typically only granted to law enforcement agencies which UKAD isn't.

Re: Sky

Sapsteads evidence was interesting, & highlights how Sky will drag BC down into the mire.

"It's very difficult at any given time to see what is being prescribed when Dr Freeman is acting on behalf of British Cycling or Team Sky."

Freeman ordered large amounts of Triamcinolone, & Fluimucil, way more than for just one rider; & they got sent to the BC office, but there are no
records of any of it being administered !

"For that reason you would either think there was an excessive amount of it for one person or quite a few people had a similar problem."

"It's difficult because of a lack of records to see what duration these orders were lasting for."

"Neither, from what we have obtained, do we have any clear records of what was going in and out of that medical supply and how those
various products were being administered."

And Sapstead tells us that Freeman was the rogue who didn't follow the rules:
"Our inquiries have established Dr Freeman kept medical records on a laptop," she explains. "He was meant to, according to Team Sky
policy and a policy that other doctors followed, to upload the medical records onto a Dropbox that all doctors had access to. "

If I were Freeman, I'd be talking to the best Lawyer I could afford, because he's been set up as the fall guy for the whole thing.

Re: Sky

Overall this afternoons evidence yet again raised more questions not least Copes claim to have transported on one occasion when it sounds like they were stockpiling kenalogue to distribute to riders as soon as they were out of competition.

Brailsfrauds claim that it was administered to Wiggo as a one off specialist advised treatment doesn't ring true with Sapsteads suggestion that it was on tap at Manchester HQ.

As many suspected on here Brailsfrauds definition of clean seems to be a pretty heavy out of competition regime.

It seems everyone is buying the story of the stolen laptop. Given Freeman's deception so far and his last minute illness (another very dubious event) I think it far more likely that this is another fabricated story. I would think it far more likely that these records were destroyed by someone from within.

So at best Freeman has been highly unprofessional and breached laws governing the storage of confidential records. At worst and far more likely imo, something far more sinister in terms of the disposal of these records has occurred. Freeman has plenty of questions to answer after today, but similarly the focus should not be purely on him alone as I don't think for one minute that he acted on his own. He is being set up as the fall guy.

The point was more that he should have uploaded the Wiggins medical records after the Dauphine. He did not do that. He apparently kept them on his laptop. My take is the laptop was stolen but he never kept a record anywhere of Wiggins receiving a injection during the Dauphine. The stolen laptop was a convenient way to explain away the ***.

An idiot didn't use the safe/left his hotel room door unlocked or left it by the pool as he went to grab a drink is all we can say without further evidence.

Froome, Romandie.

Or the fact that is first published in June 2014 on Froome's Romandie TUE. Probably had emails to Zorzoli on it for the express TUE..

Now that we know Sky/BC have a Dropbox full of confidential medical info, I'd expect that to be their next target :D

That was my first thought. What a wicked web you weave when you set out to deceive.

And wasn't Cookson's son tied in with that too ????

That would be high enough up the food chain to make things happen I suppose

There must be a police record of a lost laptop with Greece police, mustn't there?

This slow motion train crash that is unravelling is funny and leaves no doubt in fans with half a brain cell that Sky are a doping team just like the rest. They have Cookson at their back, ASO as partners in crime.......UKPostal got cocky and sloppy as their egos grew.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

BBC Radio Five Live discussion right now: Journalist just said he understands that Wiggins has been officially questioned over this too. Was that in private or something? Who knows. Anyway apparently he just said he took Flumicil at the time but no idea what was in the jiffy bag.

UKAD apparently have spent over 1000 man hours investigating this...and as we know still not one person can clarify what was in the infamous jiffy. I think I'd like to see UKAD given more investigative power. Sporting fraud, accounting fraud, liaise with police with threat of criminal charges etc.

Fully expect Freeman to claim he forgets what was in Jiffy bag and lost laptop to check his records.

Hope Freeman gets struck off, but i doubt it. Dr Bonar didn't.

But the investigation has been very weak, if at all. MPs have been the ones making ground. As usual outside forces are the ones doing the work of Anit-doping Authorities.

Sport is beyond fixing.

Wiggins was questioned by UKAD, claimed he had been treated with nebulised fluimicil, even though it's contraindicated for asthmatics

Re: Sky

The Guys on Off the Ball said earlier that it had come out that Sky had previously bought Flumicil from regular pharmacies in Europe, & thereby shot holes in their own BS story that they needed the contents of the jiffybag, because they couldn't trust Flumicil bought anywhere but in the UK.

Has anyone heard this confirmed before ?

Though UKAD could undoubtedly have been more proactive and have done a lot of very polite single issue investigating, they are woefully under-resourced and don't have any powers to compel witnesses.

She did let slip that she'd been initially told it was Kenalog in the jiffy bag and that while there were stickpiles of the stuff at BC HQ in Manchester, there was no record anywhere of there being any fluimicil which - it was alleged - had been purchased abroad, flown to Manchester, and then flown out again with the Cope.

Best moment? When Cope was asked if he'd been stitched up and was enthusiastic in his agreement.

There was no record of flumicil in the Manchester stockpile
