Brilliant if Fuglsang goes to Team Saxo/Tinkoff bank he will be 6th in line again if they are really going to sign some cannons.

Thats actually a thing he did mention already. he said that he will need to see what Riis wants with the team, since he wont sign if they sign 4 new captains so that he will be in the same spot as he is now. Imo he should go French

I also see Breschel going back to Riis.

Yep there have been rumours about that. However, he would probably have to settle for being left out of the Tour.

If he can be captain for some of the spring classics, and have time to properly prepare for the WC I think Brechel could care less about the tour!

Riis shouldn't guarantee captaincy to unproven riders in important races, shared captaincy is the best Matti can hope for and it's probably the best role any of the big teams will be willing to offer him.

The jersey isn't too bad. Looks better in the video than in the picture. If the back is like the front it will be easy to spot from overhead!

Riis and Tinkoff together though, that is some meeting of minds. Pro cycling... pro cycling never changes.

Riis been interviewed on Tv2, he´s very clear, he got a bigger budget and his focus will be on reinforcements for next year. He again have ambitions of having the best and strongest team in the world.

If I heard correctly during the conference it was said that Saxo bank had increased the budget for 2013, and it must mean that Tinkoff atleast pay the same amount as Saxo, so my take its a doubling of the budget compared to now.

Dont know what happend with the Anfi group sponsorship, they had plans of a co sponsorship with Saxo, but I guess they also increased the present budget.

Will be interesting to see what the cat with nine lives come up with for next year.

The conference can be seen here if interested.

The deal could also include Tinkoff buying a part of Saxo Bank's sponsoring. It seems clear the the budget will rise significantly but how much we can only guess.

Probably rejected because Tinkoff was behind curtains but I saw Anfi in the panel of partners

(In Danish so use the tranlation tool of your liking)

That's actually a quite interesting article. Not only because of the Cancellara rumour but also the fact that Oleg, as I - now incorrectly - wrote ealier today, won't be very involved in the team. Actually, as little as possible. And just because it's a russian sponsor there's no wish that russian riders necessarily should be brought in.

Well, the colours are so... Swedish - probably will never be particularly appealing to most Danes ;)

That being said, I don't think it's too bad, considering blue and yellow are the primary colours, they could have done a helluva lot worse.

Great news!!

Team SaxOff!!!!

Besides Ignatiev & Kiryienka, who'd both be great assets for the team, I think Riis should look at some of the speedy Russian track riders. Also a young capable time trialist like Anton Vorobev could be interesting.

But nice to read that Oleg Tinkov doesn't "plan" on being that involved in rider signings and national bias won't be a thing. There's actually more interesting riders than the Russians on the market currently...
