Jersey makes me think of Gustav Larsson's Swedish skinsuit, for obvious reasons. Anyone speculating about who they'll hire yet?

Some former Tinkoff riders: Kiryienka (MOV), Petrov (AST), Ignatiev, Brutt (both KAT). Doubt that's even relevant, I'm just reading CQ out loud.

Take that back. I don't care how much it looks like a swedsih suit, you take it back. :p

Yeah I've changed my mind as well it's not that bad. But yes it is a rush job and next year's jersey will definitely be better.

The yellow and the blue could have been incorporated much better though. They should have gone with a lighter blue and a more neon yellow.

Hopefully this doesn't happen. Fabu needs a team/lots of great doms for the flat dedicated to him. Even staying with the Schlecks would be better as he'll be needed mainly in July.
What help? He has practically been a one man team the last two years. :(

Don't worry killswitch is just a Andy fan that doesn't like it that Bjarne can now build a great team around Alberto.

Hey have we seen airstream around

There were 3 shack riders in the group behind Boonen, Ballan and Pozzato in Flanders and with better luck Rast could have been top 10 in Roubaix

With better luck this years P-R would have had the heavy guys participating. And it's not about which order the domestiques pass the finish-line, but for how long they are able to help their captain. But I will give you this, the Shack guys provided more support as the Leopard team mainly focused on the brothers when signing helpers. Fabian deserve top priority, he shouldn't play second fiddle.

The riders should definitely train in that kit; I've heard enough of riders being hit by cars during training. But the probable decline in training accidents is currently the only think I like about the kit. Hideous.

Obviously people who can finish top 10 on their own can help their captain for a long time. I kinda thought that was implicit.

He needs to move to a team that can offer him more support. If this doesn't happen he'd be better staying with the bros.

That makes no sense. Fabian has had no support what so ever while being in that circus that is Radioshack. Didn't you get the whole news about a new sponsor for Riis today? No budget was announced but stating that they'll have a team that should be the strongest in the world again suggests that new riders would be brought in... They do already have a former Flanders winner in the team. Breschel's rumoured as well.

The fact is that Cancellara brings you victories, Nuyens and Brescel for a reason or another didnt deliver as you'd expect (especially Brescel).

Rast, Roulston, Gallopin, Bennati, Popovych are decent domestiques. Lacking in quality/quantity compared to the untouchable war machines :D but still decent support.

Saxo Bank gives half ownership to a foreign bank, it is reported.

"ownership"?

I thought Riis owns Riis cycling? but seems not the case... so Riis owns maybe 50% and Saxo and Tinkoff 25% each? does anybody know?

[ownership of Riis cycling, not sponsorship contributions]

thanks!

Just tuning in and reading the Cance-Tinkoff stuff on the last few pages... I sincerely hope, he DOES NOT join Riis' banksters team ;) !!!

Riis is great and Fäbu and Riis would make a great team, but the problem is that the focus would probably still be on AC winning LeTour and other GC's.

Cancellara finally needs urgently a TEAM BUILT AROUND HIM, FOR HIM, not AC and not the Schlecksters. He has now a year or two to collect another few big wins and needs to do this, before the new youngs (Sagan, etc.) step up to the plate...

And he definitely needs to move back to Specialized S-WORKS and ZIPP, away from the lame Trek/Bontrager stuff ;)
