No surprise its a lesser rider on the team. Still, they are one of the biggest, most well funded and professional teams so they should have doping related procedures and controls that apply for all riders not just their big names. Interested to read what is their excuse or if they hang him out to dry.

Yeah, a diuretic in your system after already riding a gt is probably related to getting something out of your system asap and not weight loss, diurectics for weight loss in an endurance sport is a big yikes for me.
He isn't Italian, so he can't pull the "my Mamma lost her lasics in the Tortellini pasta" card that Errati played, maybe his grandma mixed some diuretics in her Klöße?

Why would a NADO covering much more important sports than cycling be bothered? This doesn't seem to be a UCI / ITA OOC but probably the German NADA

Estrogen blockers, resuming normal test production maybe? Or, going by his Strava, they had already started a new training block, three 21hr weeks. June 14 he did 6x1:30 @ 550w + 6x1 @ 550w. Could be the testers simply upping their game and visiting him straight after his first missed test.

Whatever comes out of this, it's already proper hilarious. Worst timing PR wise after smashing two GTs and lining up with a monster team for the third one. The last nationalities you want testing positive are French and German because their press is already on scepticism overdrive and with Grischa being German they'll love to get their teeth in now that they got a bite. He was already getting visibly exasperated at the Tour when the national broadcasting came up with critical questions, great stuff haha.

If I were to guess he was aiming for a good result at Czech Tour where he was 5th best Young Rider, but because the German National RR was in-between, German NADA upped the OOC testing leading into the Nationals or was targeted from blood or steroid passport.
IV diuretics (in studies of heart patients begin working within 10-30 of starting. Can you put off an out of competition tester at your door for 20 minutes and then take test?

Michel Hessmann lives in Freiburg. He probably just gets this stuff handed to him whenever he goes too close to the university hospital on his training rides.
Should be a 15s penalty for every teammate of him in a GT.

People dope during training. A simple explanation was ramping back up for whatever was next. Not saying that's what happened, he could be innocent. But I don't think the timing is weird at all.

It could plausibly have been a target for him, but after the bad visit, he didn't want to take any risks again so he couldn't prepare properly for the race.
