I figured something was going on because they haven't finalized the squad yet. Gloag would be the replacement, no doubt, but I also hope Gesink is okay because if he can't make it there would be problems.

Gloag was at the altitude camp with the Giro team & was named first substitute. So he'll go if Foss cannot.

I do worry about Gesink though. Two dropouts would be an issue.

Gloag instead of Foss is not a loss, I would say an improvement, in terms of climbing support. Gesink is not irreplaceable either, although he seemed to be hitting some good form.

I have a feeling some small adjustments might happen. Now for Gloag to be a replacement for Foss. Maybe. But i would still rather have a healthy and motivated Foss for this year's edition. But whoever ends up going hopefully health, motivation and form won't be missing. Direct replacement for Foss would for me be somebody like Dennis. We'll see.

Now after winning the Giro with Roglič, Jumbo is probably going to win the Tour with Vingegård and the Vuelta with Roglič or maybe even Vingegård.

Thank God, Van der Poel, Pogačar and Remco don't ride for Jumbo and smoked Van Aert in the monuments otherwise this would have been a very boring season.
