“I want to become a professional cyclist, and this brings me a step closer to that goal,” Mernik said. “As a kid, I already followed this team — Primoz Roglic has always been one of my biggest sporting heroes. I’ve seen the team grow into one of the best in the world, and I’m very proud to be joining it.”

Good luck Sven!

On bici.pro, there's quite an interesting interview with Fiorelli's manager Paolo Alberati, talking about his role at Visma, and how he ended up there - with a surprising amount of details about the contract negotiations, like Patrick's Power Point presentations and Fiorelli's bonus payments when a team mate wins.

Google Translator will do the job

It's a great article, also shared earlier in the transfer thread:
More about the Fiorelli transfer in the following article. Interesting stuff. It's in Italian but you can use your browser translator.

So how will Visma appraoch the next season schedule wise?
They have Vingegaard, S.Yates, Jorgenson, van Aert and Brennan, who will have their demands.

A lot will of course depend on the fact, if they send Vingegaard to the giro.
Brennan also deserves to ride a GT. I don´t think, that van Aert will again ride the giro this year...

This would be the most likely scenario, if Vingegaard goes to the giro, I agree. Although giro also offers a lot of opportunities for a rider like Brennan, with some hills at the end of some stages, which not every sprinter survives.. If Vingegaard will not go to the giro, it could be something like this:

Giro: Jorgenson, Yates, Brennan
TDF: Vingegaard, Jorgenson, Yates, WVA
Vuelta: Vingegaard

Vingegaard is going to the Giro, I have no doubt about that. But he won't be at his very best there so maybe they also bring Brennan. Then again Brennan also has to perform during classics season, and that's hard to match with the Giro.

Vingegaard > Giro/Tour
Yates > Giro/Vuelta
Van Aert > spring > Tour > WC
Brennan > spring > Vuelta
Jorgenson > spring > Tour > WC
Kuss > Tour/Vuelta

None of these decisions are difficult in my opinion.

Nordhagen should probably get a first taste of a GT as well or no?
Would expect that to be the Vuelta, maybe with Jorgenson and Kuss as a bit of a triple 'let's see what happens' approach. Although Jorgenson might do the full Canada experience.

For this reason I wouldn't put Brennan in the same GT as Vingegaard. If Vingegaard is not on his best, he'd use all the support he can and I wouldn't throw Brennan pretty much all alone in his first GT.
Yup, people like Affini or Fiorelli can support both of them, but I don't think they need to over complicate things when the simple decision is, send Brennan to the one GT Vingegaard doesn't go.
