What's RaNT doing there? Apart from ToC and other US races, I can't see them win a lot except for the usual Tour stage win by Andy.

Huh? Andrew's first win in Le Tour was in 2010 and because Alberto let him win in La Col du Tourmalet... last year was his second... so no... is not "the usual tour stage win by Andrew"...

mmmm I think that OQS will be the surprise this year... with an incredible amount of wins...

P.S: WTF? Why FDJ is not in that list?:mad:

Cavs wins in one stage race could equal what others like Gilbert gets all season. But I'll buck the trend and go BMC.

Are you for real? Did you see the amount of wins gilbert got last season.

for instance Hagen scored only 7 wins last year ;)

Cant Compare Eddy Boss with Cancellara... Eddy is still developing while Cancellara is at his prime...

last year was a pretty bad year. But usually he should stack up loads of TT wins and some classics wins.

Now there is a guy called Tony Martin that wont let him do that... and Tomeke is now healthy so... I wouldnt expect some classics wins from Cancellara... maybe a minor classic but no monuments...

Cancellara is not that old to take his age into consideration while EBH is not that young to say he will increase his level much. But i was referring to the fact that with his sprinting abilities EBH is naturally expected to score more wins while Cancellara gains more important ones. Anyway they both had not the best season in career.

EDIT: in the case of Hagen i mean only amount of wins, he could have scored more (his season generally was pretty good)

Are you so sure a healthy boonen can beat cancellera?? Boonen was healthy in 2010, am I not wrong. And Cancellara totally destroyed him. He still might beat martin on occasions.

That was cuz the peloton did to boonen what they did to cancellara in 2011... no one helped him to chase Cancellara down... and come on! is Tomeke! with motivation He will destroy the field...!

Aren't you making the huge assumption that Gilbert will have the same, amazing season in 2012, that he had in 2011?
Don't you think it highly unlikely that he will get the same amount of wins?

Bottom line: BMC's "new" big 4 managed 31 wins, but what did the rest accomplish?
Sky's top 4 only managed 27 wins, but a whole raft of other riders had 1-3 wins apiece.

I still think Cancellara is stronger than Boonen. But who knows. Plus his team is much weaker than Boonen's.

Its unlikely that he can repeat last years performance but he should be able to get many wins like last year just not that much. BMC are not as weak as last year, they have more riders who can win races. But I still think sky will win.

I know eventually someone will tout every team in the poll, but Movistar could potentally score a lot. Valverde's back, Visconti's a grafter with a finish, and the teams just deep: lots of guys that can win given the opportunity.

Here are last year's standings (if the formatting works)

1. [Usa] HTC - Highroad PRT 56
2. [Iri] Tabriz Petrochemical Cycling Team CONT 35
3. [Usa] Team RadioShack PRT 33
4. [Ita] Liquigas - Cannondale PRT 32
5. [Gbr] Sky Professional Cycling Team PRT 32
6. [Ned] Skil - Shimano PROF 30
7. [Fra] FDJ PROF 30
8. [Usa] Team Garmin - Cervélo PRT 29
9. [Bel] OmegaPharma - Lotto PRT 29
10. [Ned] Rabobank PRT 26
11. [Rus] Itera - Katusha CONT 26
12. [Ita] Lampre - ISD PRT 26
13. [Ned] Vacansoleil - DCM PRT 25
14. [Lux] Leopard - Trek PRT 25
15. [Rus] Katusha Team PRT 22
16. [Fra] Europcar PROF 22
17. [Gbr] Farnese Vini - Neri Sottoli PROF 21
18. [Esp] Movistar Team PRT 21
19. [Ned] Rabobank Continental Team CONT 19
20. [Fra] Cofidis, le Credit en Ligne PROF 19

Actually, looking at that, Movistar won't make any waves, and Lotto with the combination of Greipel and Sohrabi might be unstoppable. Sohrabi is unproven in the WT, obv.

Don't be ridiculous. There is a world of difference between 5 riders merely refusing to help chase, and between every single rider in the peloton doing nothing else but trying to bring back Cancellara.

Lets see PR... In 2010 no one wanted to help Boonen to chase down Cancellara until Boonen went out of gas... in 2011 was the same... no one helped Cancellara to chase down Van Summeren the result was He went to the team cars to complain about it...

A surprise in the win quantity category might come from Katusha.... Freire slighty better season (= 5 wins minimum), Kristoff, Tsatevich, Galimzyanov, Haller, Vicioso & Selig with the backing of Zabel might all benefit. Rodriguez is good for at least 5 wins. I'd say 30 wins + this season!!!

after Giro the task becomes clear: Team NetApp, no other way left there:D:D:D Ok, and seriously now, Sky, Movistar or Omega - QXT.

Maybe I should have rephrased the sentence. But liquigas don't have much of a chance. The only rider who can constantly get wins is Sagan.
Don't forget Viviani, he won 7 races last year and is only 22. He could definitely pick up a decent amount of victories this year.
