I'm really pleased that I picked Rohan Dennis (me and one other have him I think), was kind of a last minute change as well. Looks like he will top 5 and get 40 CQ points for the KOM classification. I hope he can keep this kind of form (and perhaps more importantly his motiviation) to really dominate in u23s, and maybe join WT in august for another top 10 @ Beijing.

Another near unique rider (me and 3 others) doing well is EBH, looks like he will get about 150-200 points (GC, final stage, points), without even being on form. Pauwels will also be in credit by the end of his first race.

Although I dont have Rogers (had to ignore some obvious picks to fit my strategy), I think I have the chance to be top 10 for the next download.

Thanks to CQ manager for offering to host the spreadsheet. (and thanks for CQ website!!)

Yeah, that's cool we got a website, with all the picks laid out so we don't have to hunt through this thread. Agree that discussion should stay here, although that won't be hard as the 'forum' link comes to this thread.

Yeah you've got quite the interesting team, I'm excited to see how your strategy plays out. One thing you and Hugo should note - it seems on the spreadsheet that Cattaneo is spelled in lowercase so when he starts picking up points they won't be noticed... Hugo can this be changed?

thanks for looking at my team - i think the lower case thing isnt a problem as you can see that it picks up last years score, so it will pick up all the lovely points he will score this year.

Cattaneo is still riding U23 though right? Doesn't join Liquigas til August so I'm not optimistic of a huge score. I like your tactics though of only big or small pointers, should be interesting.

yes I know a big score is unlikely but I am happy to have some interest in the u23 races this year and hope he can double his score. I have Goos as well who is still in u23, and as expensive for an u23. the truth is Cattaneo was on my shortlist since Baby Giro, and even after he didnt go straight to Lampre (not Liquigas - maybe you are thinking of the situation with Betancur) I wanted to keep him. Dennis has already paid off, everyone should look out for Jasper Stuyven too.

Oh yeah, you're right about picking up last year's points. Cattaneo was on my 'for sure' list but then he stayed U23... not much of a chance of making big waves with the points on offer.

I wrote off your strategy when I first saw your team, as I took a more rigid 'will this guy at least double his points, or get 3-400 more than he did last year' approach to each individual rider. Your method looks more at the whole, where your expensive riders might get 1.5 times the points they did last year (or less), but then you have a ton of cheap guys who might get 10x the points. It's pretty risky on both ends (depend on a few guys with lots of points to have injury-free seasons, depend on a bunch of unproven talents to all hit the mark), but I like it alot. I still think my boring, pick-popular-riders, risk-averse approach will beat it, though ;)

yes it is risky, but should be fun - and even it pays off, i will probably still be beaten by plenty of people who have Breschel, Rogers, Davis and Henao and the other popular picks.

@the hitch I think you have misunderstood - will10 wants to keep the discussion here and website just for info/latest downloads. NB as has been pointed out the forum link of the website comes straight here

Strongly disagree. Its been good having it hear. I come here for all my cq updates and discussion.

The whole idea was to have a place for easy downloads and some basic resources since it is hard to search through this thread. Yes, the conversation should stay here.

Hugo will be in charge, I will just provide some tech support etc. Let him/me know what else would be handy to have there.

Is there anyway that on http://www.cqmanager.net it can show who everyone has in his team?

Yes, that will be under the Team link. I just need to create a working database from where I can run all those queries and display those lists automatically. Same for the Riders. The plan is to give you list of teams for every rider. I will do some of that stuff next week from my work computer

Whoa. You are living up to your user name, indeed. I nod in respect to you, sir. That will be awesome.

Tour Down Under went well for me.

3 stage wins with Greipel, and a few days in the Ochre jersey

4th overall from Michael Rogers

2nd overall in the points classification from Greipel

If I did my math right, I would have collected if not more, close to 300 points.

Youll gain 54 points from the Tour Down Under with Kohler's two days in Ochre and 15th overall. It is a shame that he slipped down so far for your CQ team and for our barracking purposes.

Anyway kind of expected it his climbing is pretty bad. Expect him to be in loads more breakaways this year im sure he will do more for my cq team.

Stupid of me to miss him. How much did he cost?? what is you current profit?

137 and already in January up to 172.

Interesting to see that you were 1 place in front of my old mate ACF, up until today.;)

Well over 300 points for this race is pleasing, but I'll bet there are a couple with + 500.........
