That's the plan, yes.

The two main arguments to continue with the current system still applies:

1) It's easier to keep track of one's record using the same system each year.
2) If it ain't broken don't fix it :)

Okay thank you

we also need a few rulings

Offredo and Contador as an example

Cant believe this thread is getting some action. Where were you guys all year? Most of the time I was talking to myself or Armchair ...

I have to also give some credit to Teo, Shalgo, Eric8-A and few others that were keeping me company ;)

Most likely, Offredo won't be available and Contador will cost 2272, his 2009 value.

I'm not that into the Kolobnev case, but 690, his 2010 value, seems to be in accordance with the rules.

I would ask for a rethink re offredo I think he should be in the game his ban finished jan 30 - and would only miss the TDU

but if the rule is decided ok but :'(

and CQ manager me I help run another forum so only come here for this game and as I went from good to **** but April no need to be here :p :)

Hmm, I don't really know to be honest. What if his ban ended February 15th? February 30th?

I think it's better to stick to the rules. Unless, of couse, the rule about riders getting back from suspension during the season not being available is dropped.

Update 39: Geraint is "Too Fast"

Ok, admittedly the title for this update is a somewhat far-fetched, but Geraint Too Fast did have a good week. A very good week actually, as he is by far the highest scoring this week with 865 points thanks to Uran, Kessiakoff, Betancur and Henao. Second highest scoring team, The Amateur, also had Uran, Betancur and Henao.

This week's high scorers:

1. Geraint Too Fast - 865
2. The Amateur - 704
3. Maaaaaaaarten - 612
4. King Of The Worlds - 581
5. Netserk - 567

As a result, Geraint Too Fast is also by far higest jumper this week, moving up no less than 20 places! Three other of the high scorers are also amon the high jumpers: The Amateur, King Of The Worlds and Maaaaaaaarten.

This week's high jumpers:

1. Geraint Too Fast +20
2. Froome19 +9
2. sublimit +9
4. The Amateur +8
5. Maaaaaaaarten +6
5. King Of The Worlds +6
5. Hugo Koblet +6

Looking at the overall top 10, generally they didn't do well this week. Armchair Cyclist scored the most point this week, 444, and as a result moved up from 7th to 5h. Our invincible leader, skidmark, finally has a bad week as he scores only 253. As a result, Kvinto closes the gap with almost 200 points. That probably doesn't give skidmark sweaty palms, though, as he still ahead by more than 1100 points.

Meanwhile, shalgo is a new face in the top 10, pushing out bicing.

Also, it is worth noticing that this is the 5th week in a row (at least the 5th week in a row, actually. I don't have updates from before update 36) that The Hitch has moved up 1 single spot. He's now in 12th place.

Top 10:

1. (1) skidmark - 18898
2. (2) Kvinto - 17763
3. (3) Nyssinator - 17247
4. (4) TeoSheva - 16867
5. (7) Armchair cyclist - 16568
6. (5) FF'Wilco - 16528
7. (6) EvansIsTheBest - 16454
8. (8) mc_mountain - 15986
9. (10) MADRAZO - 15978
10. (12) shalgo - 15857

As the rules say, the game will finish when the last "big race" (1.1 or higher) is raced. It seems as though Tour of Taihu Lake (2.1) will be our last race.

It is ridden from November 1st till November 8th, so the last update will probably be out around November 12th, when we will crown our final winner.

Good to know. I took my first look yesterday at this year's rankings with an eye to next year... it should be a fun year, seems like a few more expensive possible 'deals' than this year... and I can't believe a whole section of the forum are going to be sort of cheering for Andy Schleck. Although if we all pick him, can we all cheer against him?

Can't wait to pore through cq's website in November and December again.

Spent half an hour CQ trawling yesterday and added another 30 names to an already ridiculously long shortlist...

I haven't even done a shortlist. Seeing as how people have a list already tells me that I should get started on mine.
