****. You had him, I only found him by sheer fluke as I was randomly looking through Lampre.
And you say he isnt worth it. Now that complicates my team more.
Also Talansky has been mentioned more than once on here, so anyone want to defend him. 200+ points. Im struggling to see reasons to keep him.
Whoa, he isn't worth
for me, because in order to keep him in my CQ team, I should have sacrificed one of my young riders, which i don't want to do.
I'm not looking for some theoretical ‘winning strategy’, though i want to have a strong team as everybody else, but i search for the compromise between 'i like' and 'gonna pay out' (we all want those whom we like to pay out). It’s OK with Bertagnolli, he absolutely should pay out (it’s not about the best season in the career but some 300-400 points is pretty wise expectation), but I’ve made my choice – he’s out.
As for Talansky, I have him. The guy can tt pretty well, his climbing isn’t that good yet, but he’s improving. I think as a second year pro he can aim for some weeklong races and score there despite the competition in his team. I’m pretty sure he will improve in 2012 (if he remains fit during the year), imo from 300 till max 500 CQ points. Of course you are all looking for riders to double their scores and 300 points from a 229-pointer is not much of improvement but I’m gonna take a risk, if ‘risk’ is an appropriate word in the case of this game and somewhere in October we’ll see how it turns out.
