No regrets so far, I'm just looking forward to seeing how my less common picks (particularly Degenkolb) are going to go this season.

Farrar was a good pick I think. Quite consistent in the sprints, with potential in the classics, and he's picking up the points here and there as expected.

Omitting Breschel was maybe more foolhardy than I had thought, going into the Omloop Het Volkblad. Still got Boonen, Haussler, De Gendt and Degenkolb among others in that race though.

My ignorance about young/U23 promising riders is really hurting my team. I also hoped Jan Ghyselinck could do something at the cobbled classics for Cofidis this year, but they aren't even invited (or didn't ask for an invite) to the Ronde van Vlaanderen.. At least Nibali, Velits and De Clercq are getting me some points in Oman.

Preliminary team for Omloop het Nieuwblad:
Boonen, Breschel, Devolder, Ghyselinck, Hoste, Langeveld, Maaskant, Maarten Neyens (Lotto), Vanmarcke, Vantomme

How many people have JTL? They'll score big. What's Endura's racing schedule like if anybody knows?

Surely 0.. lol

The Cobra has Tiernan-Lock. Nice job! ]

JTL was a unique pick by the Cobra, so he's cleaning up on that front.

I thought it was common knowledge JTL was destined to dethrone Gilbert as the king of the classics. :p:D

Full update is coming soon from Hugo but for those who cant wait, I just posted a quick game update on our website http://cqmanager.net/rankings/

I will add more info once available from Hugo and once I have some time since I just got back from pow shredding vacation and just getting back to rhythm :)

Edit: I hope I have it right because the early leader "just some guy" slipped from 11th to 49th :D

Edit 2: Should be fine .... unless I have the user names mixed up .... lets wait for Mr Hugo :D

Edit 3: Please do not post the rankings here until the official update from Hugo is out!

It is probably correct Not having 2 key player in the early season is killing me

plus 2 riders on the long term injury list that I thought would bring points from a less picked source

Waiting for Hugo ( by the way it is your pick in the other game :) ) to give the death bell.

anyway my team is classics based another issue so might be back or might be last soonish :D

didnt you say no italians or spanish either?
that also is an issue :p

As you may have worked out Ive got issues :D

but it all fun and my 1st year so not losing sleep over it - would rather have 4 weeks in the lead than finish 35th or something

between this your game Foxxys game there is a lot of cq time - I will be better prepaired next year and thus finish 75th :p

Wow, I think I have a bit too much classic riders in my selection, no? Ballan, Boeckmans, Boonen, Breschel, Burghardt, Ciolek, Devolder, Flecha, Hoste, Martens, Pozzato, Steegmans, Trentin of my team are going to start in OHN.

edit: think something went wrong on the website. When I click on one of my riders, I always see the stats of Roger Kluge

Pretty sure I dropped a few slots, but I'm happy with my score. I'm only 600+ points from the top score. I expect things to turn up in the coming week with the cobbles approaching.

4 weeks in the lead is an achievement in itself. I'm just happy to see I've made 2nd for a week.
With 70 members and a 500 point spread, there will be big changes over the next few weeks.
Especially when the big guns bring out their secret, or at least, little known weapons!

Not the best week for me, don't think. Over 1k points available in Belgium alone at the weekend though, so it's not the end of the world.

Update 7: Michele remains in the driver's seat

It's been two weeks since my last update, so here's an exhaustive one.

This week we've got four new teams in the top 10: gustienordic, mc_mountain, TeoSheva and hrotha. gustienordic and hrotha are both among this weeks high scorers with 687 and 636 points respectively. mc_mountain and TeoSheva on the other hand are following each other closely. Last week they were both in the 16th place and this week they scored almost identical points - 543 and 542 points respectively. It's not that surprising though, as they do have 13 riders in common - including Porte, Velits and Moser who all scored a bunch of points this week.

Out of the top 10 this week went MADRAZO, Spider1964, Lortnoc and Ham-N-Eggs. And they went out with a blast. MADRAZO lost 19 places, Spider1964 lost 13 places, Lortnoc lost 23 places while Ham-N-Eggs lost no less than 54 places as he scored only 69 points.

the asian is this weeks high jumper, winning 60 places on the leaderboard, as he scored the second most points this week - only gustienordic scored more.

Last, let's take a quick look at the bottom of the leaderboard where things aren't looking that bright for Rocksteady and the_fool_on_the_hill who are still yet to surpass the 500 points mark. Both have scored a return of approximately 5% so far - in comparison, Michele is only three quaters away from breaking even, having scored a 23% return at this point.

It's still early in the season though so everything can still happen.

Top 10:

1. (1) Michele - 1723
2. (5) Mellow Velo - 1661
3. (2) Timmy-loves-Rabo - 1595
4. (22) gustienordic - 1594
5. (3) EvansIsTheBest - 1562
6. (4) AntonioRossi - 1516
7. (16) mc_mountain - 1483
8. (16) TeoSheva - 1482
9. (7) shalgo - 1473
10. (39) hrotha - 1472

This weeks high scorers:

1. gustienordic - 687
2. the asian - 674
3. hrotha - 636
4. Mellow Velo - 632
5. Tuarts - 621

This weeks high jumpers:

1. the asian +60
2. Tuarts +49
3. AAC1983 +37
4. Ferminal +34
5. Object +33

Bottom 10:

121. (106) Team Kapiris - 610
122. (119) Geraint Too Fast - 606
123. (103) TeamSkyFans - 587
124. (127) Kato777 - 582
125. (124) Jakob747 - 561
126. (119) Sdrawkcab - 550
127. (115) The Amateur - 539
128. (130) gerundium - 533
129. (124) Rocksteady - 423
130. (129) the_fool_on_the_hill - 389

I'm pleased to have at least one more week in the top ten, though I am not fooling myself into believing that it means much of anything about my chances of success at the end of the season, given that we are still seeing teams rise or fall 60 places in one week.

Oh wow, I thought I would plumit even further for sure, but I gained 3 spots :)

Still means I'm in a crappy position though :(

However, some of my picks have shown something hopeful this week, even though it didn't earn me a lot of points: I'm looking forward to the spring :D

These updates are great; they make sure this game is staying alive.
