Update 12: history repeats itself...

...because Mellow Velo is still our leader, and this week he extends his lead as he puts 200 points into his nearest competitor, EvansIsTheBest, and now leads with more than 350 points.
We have three new teams in the top 10 this week: lancaster, who's also one of this weeks highest scorers, shalgo and Gotland, while we lose Skibby the bush kangaroo who falls from 3rd to 20th, SantiBotero who moves from 7th to 19th and Netserk who swaps his 10th place with a 17th.

It was a pretty crazy week with people scoring an insane amount of points. Popchu, who earns the honour of being this weeks high scorer, scored almost 20% of his 7500 points in a single week. It's not that surprising though when you have all of Uran, Van Den Broeck, Boonen, Pozzato, Rogers and Breschel in your team.

DJ Sprtsch continues his great run as he's, for the second week in a row, among this weeks high jumpers, moving up 34 places. This means that he's now moved 59 places in two weeks.

A few things...:

1) I climbed 14 places from 125th to 111th place.
2) I scored 15 points more than I had calculated.
3) I've got my first two riders into profit. (Boonen & Breschel) :)

Overall I'm really happy that I actually climbed some places because my score wasn't that high compared to others (896p).

Also I don't mind staying in the bottom because then I don't have to worry about dropping a lot of places. :p

After the big post-Tirreno fall from 11th to the 25th place i managed to climb 4 places back to the 21st with big expectations to get some good points from Kwiatkowski in the De Panne. Seeing him in the classics it was fair expectation but this time he got ill and it seems that with such luck Michal gonna be a Breschel-like pick for the next year's game :D

Okay I'll try to remember him.

Mellow Velo is really in a league of his own
On a more personal note, despite a subpar week, I'm still second and I now have 12 riders that have positive scores : BOONEN Tom, VELITS Peter, DEMARE Arnaud, ROGERS Michael, BRESCHEL Matti, FENN Andrew, IGLINSKIY Maxim, MOSER Moreno, QUINTANA ROJAS Nairo Alexander, VOIGT Jens, LLOYD Matthew, SICARD Romain. What a shame that I have Offredo though

Happy to be holding steady in the top 10 - definitely need some of my less common picks to start accenting the Boonen/Breschel/Pozzato core that everyone at the top has. Durbridge and Modolo making the front group on the hardest day of de Panne is a good start, but I kind of just hope to hold steady at best through Flanders, as even my 'less common' picks are Haussler and Vanmarcke, both of whom are owned by loads of folks. And as hrotha points out, if Devolder finds the form of old, there will be many people gaining on me...

Also can't wait for Pais Vasco, in terms of unpredictability and a great race, it should be fun to follow from a CQ perspective too.

Not sure if my pick of Roche was a good idea, we'll see at the end of this game. But that's the only rider I am worried about right now.

It's nice to see my name there. It was getting a bit sad seeing myself in the same position where I was for the majority of 2011.

The GC riders have less points right now. By the end of July we can get a good indication whether they are a good pick.
Teams with more classics riders are dominating right now.

Hugo, I have a question.

Cqranking.com finally has updated on the Contador matter. It now says on the bottom of the page that he has been disqualified from all results since July 2010.

But.

Those results aren't taken away. There still there. Look.

If that is still the case at the end of the year... Can I pick him for the cost of the points of this year? Pretty please?

I am happy i only moved down 8 places. If Basso somehow has a great recovery for the Giro and Kreuziger can top 5,along with maybe Majka ( going top 20 or winning a stage ) i can then hopefully climb. My classics squad is also ok with Hoste, Pozzato, Breschel, Devolder and of course Boonen.

Does it matter that much ? Everybody would pick Contador then :p

I didnt enter this year but I have 3 certain riders for my team next year, so that's a good start I guess:D
